What a gem of a campsite and pub. This was our first visit, and we stayed for a couple of nights with friends in the motorhome/van camping area during a cold, wet November weekend. The shower block was spotless and pleasantly warm, which made a big difference. Matt and the entire team were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The onsite 16th-century pub was a real highlight—full of character and history, with a great selection of drinks, a cosy open fire, and excellent home cooked food. The location is great too, not too far from Bridgnorth. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Just spent a week on the campsite and what a fantastic week we had . The campsite is clean and has all the amenities showers really good and warm also the shower block is warm which makes a difference this time of year! Used the washing up facilities in the sunshine this morning lovely and clean even tho they are outside. The pub has plenty of drinks on offer and is very cosy, the locals very welcoming as well definitely not a local pub for local people only ! We only had time to eat once in the pub and if was fantastic ( brie and scampi starters and then chicken and mushroom pie and petes beef ) staff all friendly especially gary who was very welcoming on arrival and looked after us most nights when we where in . We walked in to bridgenorth one morning Pleasant walk but through two fields so our feet where a little damp we taxied back and there a few times using uber ( prices between 3.50 and 7.50) we would definitely like to come back and we wish the pub and site plus the staff all the best for what the future may hold for you

We were greeted as soon as we arrived great pitch close to all amenities. PUB was great hot and cold food available plus plenty of choice of drinks. 40 min walk into bridgenorth which we enjoyed but had a taxi back only cost £8

We stayed here for 3 nights after watching Tour of Britain. Well maintained, facilities spotless with good disabled facilities. Unfortunately the kitchen is closed Tuesday and Wednesday ( the chef needs a break sometime) so we didn't get to sample the food, however the ale is good and they had blush wine for me also. The pub surroundings are lovely and I think quaint with a little snug and nice conservatory leading out into beer garden. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful. Also dog owners like ourselves are directed to an enclosed field for the 4 paws to run around. All in all a good experience.

Excellent food. Very well kept beer and good advice on the wine from friendly people. Very dog friendly.

We stayed on site in our caravan. It was a lovely place to stay. Had a great walk with the dogs and came back to the pub for some drinks. Had a beautiful meal there, too. The staff were great and very welcoming. All in all, it was a lovely stay and we would not hesitate to return.

Lovely pub, wonderful old building with lots of beams and a beautiful open fire. We visited on new years day whilst out for a walk. The landlord had intended on opening at 2pm but welcomed us in a little earlier. Fabulous hospitality very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend.

Highly recommended, stayed here over the Bank Holiday weekend, Peter and his team are very welcoming. The meal we had was delicious and the accommodation clean and spacious. Will be using the halfway Inn again.

Stayed for a night in a camper van at the campsite behind the pub. Placed in a level plot near the toilet block. Next bay was covered in a tipper load of tarmac waste. Toilet block had one toilets not cleaned and no working light. Grass need trimming. Feels like a traveller site. Two caravans were in front of us, I think long term but anyway about 6 men sat around a campfire very noisy until nearly midnight so not good. Pub itself is characterful but run down. Great locals in there, decent pint and food acceptable from a very limited menu. Final disappointment was being charged for our ‘caravan’ £32 for one night, despite also eating and drinking there. Sadly a total rip off. Avoid.
