pros - location: Botanic area, and not far from the city centre - cool vibe: the overall design is cool. Free beer on check-in. Too bad if you're celiac mind you - bathroom: clean, modern, and a great big hot shower - price: cheap relative to Belfast in general - rooms: spacious, good heating. Ours needed a little TLC but not too bad. A guy did show up with a paint bucket as we were leaving though hah cons - check-in: the self check-in didn't work for anyone that arrived, and reading other reviews, it doesn't seem to work that often. There's a phone to call for help though, and we did receive a phone call shortly afterwards to see if everything was okay - bedding: one pillow that's almost a brick, one that's nothing. Feather duvet so we had feathers everywhere and constantly got pricked. Maybe you could ask for different bedding but we noticed too late - outside the room: our view and room smell/noise in 105 was the back of a restaurant. It stank of oil, all you could hear was a generator, and the windows don't close tight. Maybe you could get moved? Avoid 105 - WiFi: not great, but not our priority

The hotel was very nice. I really liked that you can do the check-in yourself inside. We had an issue at first, but the pub next door is part of the hotel and they solved it quickly, so we got into our room without trouble. The room was clean and spacious, and the information provided was more than enough. Having Netflix, Disney Plus and other platforms available made the stay more enjoyable. The bathroom was very clean, and the towels and other amenities were also spotless. It’s a quiet hotel, and I would definitely stay here again. The only thing that made me a bit unsure was the bed sheets. They smelled clean, but it looked like there were a few marks on them. In cases like this, it would be better if the hotel staff provided fresh sheets or washed them more thoroughly.

We arrived early, but were able to leave our luggage in a secure, locked room. Four of us in one room, which was spacious, with 2 huge , quite comfortable beds. Unfortunately one of the quilts was paper thin, but we managed to keep warm. Bathroom is huge, with a good powerful shower, with complementary toiletries. plenty of clean, fluffy towels. clean and modern. Enough plug sockets for all our gadgets, hairdryer and iron provided. A bit of a walk to the centre, very quiet at night. The staff, as with just about everywhere in belfast, were very friendly and accommodating. All in all, I would recommend this hotel.

We had a great stay at The 1852 Hotel on Lower Crescent, Belfast. The location couldn’t be better β€” right in the lively Queen’s Quarter with cafΓ©s, bars and restaurants on the doorstep. The room was clean and comfortable with a really good bed and modern amenities. The staff were friendly, check-in was simple, and the bar downstairs added a fun social vibe. A fantastic choice for a stay in Belfast β€” would definitely recommend

This is a great hotel. We've stayed here before but it was over 20 years ago and I think it was called the Crescent Townhouse then. The staff were great, friendly and welcoming. I have allergies and so asked to have hypoallergenic pillows and this was no problem. I wish I had also asked to have all the bedding replaced as the duvet was down filled but ghat was my fault for not thinking to ask. The free beer in the fridge as you enter the hotel is a lovely touch. You can opt for a discounted room above the bar but we chose not to. There was still noise but this didn't affect us too much. The staff in the bar were also great.

Room is very spacious and clean. The beds are extremely comfortable. Bathroom large and clean. It is in a student area, so wear ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones if you want to go to sleep early.

After previously booking a b&b elsewhere and it being a disaster, I found this hotel and it was at a very reasonable price. The room was gorgeous, and I loved the little people watching bay. It's a self check in service, but they give you a free beer for it, happy days! The service behind the bar was brilliant too. I will definitely be back when I next come to Belfast! Thank you!

Quite central which is the plus point of this hotel. I never quite find the free street parking that was mentioned in the blurb, however while the FAQ says that it's not the quiet spa retreat, I didn't expect how loud the hotel was. When we stayed, only one of the two bars was open, but that had piped music to the outside seating, and the bar shut at 1am, so even though we were on the top floor, you could hear music constantly. So if you want perfect silence then don't bother. To me it was OK because I take earplugs with me whenever I go to a hotel.

The two stars are only for the room itself which was nice a big with two double beds and clean. After that I will never stay again. There was loud music until the early hours of the morning and at some point the bottle trucks came to empty all the bins at a crazy hour! There seemed to be cleaners in the hotel from 7.30 am and the noise was ridiculous. Banging on the floors and dragging furniture not a care given to residents still in the hotel. The floors were paper thin as the vibration of cleaning staff was enough to disturb even the heaviest of sleepers! All in all not a pleasant stay.

Hotel has self check in which is fine, any problems the bar staff are very helpful. Town center is a 15 minute walk though bus stops are plentiful on the main road which is a nice mix of shops and restaurants. Our room was a very good size, clean, top floor but no lift, no big deal, but the major negative issue is the noise. I appreciate the rooms are above a bar, you expect some noise, especially say a Saturday night, but all day Sunday? I'm sure the music was louder in our room than on street level, is there really a need for a speaker inside the entrance to the rooms? Thankfully the music dies down relatively early but it was OTT and did put a major negative on the overall experience which is a pity.
