Really wish they offered flu jabs over lunch time, or opened on weekends. Had to book time off work to have my flu jab, booked a time slot using online booking system. I missed a phone call from them, called them back twice and couldn't get the call through. Turns out they didn't have any flu jabs in stock. Booked my second appointment after they called me to say they had flu jabs in store now. I turn up at the scheduled time and the pharmacist didn't turn up to work. Not going to bother now too much faffing about.

I find a lot of the staff very abrupt. They obviously aren’t taught how to serve customers with manners. Always something missing from my repeat each month. Last time I was there Issa one of the more elderly workers being really snooty with a lady who had an assistance dog with her, raising her voice to ensure we all heard her saying “you’re not allowed dogs you’ll have to take it out”. When the customer replied but he’s a medical alert dog the worker continues to state you’re not allowed dogs we serve food. The lady calmly explained he was her assistant dog and legally she is allowed to take him in, even explaining if he was just a pet she wouldn’t dream of taking him in. I left the shop but saw the same lady outside moments later and she was crying I said I saw what happened and she said it’s people like that which make her not want to leave her home. She explained the dog is for epilepsy diabetics and ptsd and how he tells her before she’s going to have a fit. She said she’s never going back to this boots again I’ve half a mind to write to their head office and complain. Some of the staff here have no people skills at all. To make a disabled lady cry is disgusting.

Really helpful staff, have helped me with paying monthly for my prescriptions. Alway give good advice as well. I've been housebound with covid recently and Jess even made sure my prescription got delivered to me so I wasn't stuck without. Thank you :)

I am so grateful that the pharmacist was able to talk to me about my daughter. I had quite a bit of trouble getting through to my doctor on the phone but everyone at Boots Heanor was so lovely and helpful. I received excellent advice in a clear and sympathetic way. (And then when I was a complete idiot and left my shopping behind they looked after it until I was able to collect). Thank you!

Not the biggest Boots you will find, but they carry a limited stock of toiletries, make up, plasters, knee/ankle straps, non prescription medicines. However one of the best things is the pharmacy, they are so helpful. Disabled access friendly, there is a button on the outside and the inside to open the door for you.
