After a long hike in Dartmoor we stopped here absolutely starving β and it turned out to be the perfect choice! The restaurant is spotless and beautifully renovated, creating a really welcoming atmosphere. The food was fantastic: we shared the vegetarian starter platter with halloumi fries, battered cauliflower and broccoli, and a few other bites β everything was full of flavour and more than enough even for two hungry walkers. We also tried the trio of mini burgers, where you can pick three flavours β great idea and absolutely delicious! Service was friendly and efficient, prices are fair, and overall it was just an excellent experience. Highly recommended β weβll definitely be back!

The perfect stop off for a coffee, decent meal/breakfast and visit to the toilet! Beats your average motorway service station 100%. Donβt mistake the petrol station/spa for the actual motel facilities. Keep driving down following signs to the motel. There is a super cool bar/cafe to the left of the lodge. Food and coffee awesome, lovely service and ambience.

Stopped here for a late lunch after a lovely walk up Spitchwick and had the best burger i have eaten in the last ten years! You can tell its all freshly homemade and after my perfect sticky toffee pud i was convinced to come again, the chefs clearly know what they are doing. Beautiful building, very well maintained throughout. I sat outside as it was a lovely autumnul day. Classic Dartmoor views of sweeping hills with sheep and cattle grazing on the horizon. See you again soon, thank you.

We celebrated our wedding here at the Little Lodge and had the most amazing time with our family and friends. We stayed for two nights in the newly refurbished family room with our four children. The room and bathroom was immaculate and finished to a high standard. The food was faultless, and staff went out of their way to accommodate our autistic sons dietary requests. Our celebrations were relaxed and informal and the team met that vibe perfectly. We spent they entire day in the beautiful beer garden with the children taking full advantage of the giant sandpit. All our guests were able to come and go as they pleased, ordering food and drink throughout the day. The breakfasts included in our room bookings were amazing - our 11yr old son especially enjoyed his steak and eggs! During our stay we dealt mostly with the Manager Jane, and our bookings and arrangements were all made through Katie - both made the experience effortless and were, along with the rest of the staff, the perfect combination of professional, good fun, and friendly. It was an amazing couple of days with family and friends with memories that we will cherish.

We recently stayed at the Dartmoor Lodge as it is the perfect location to visit Dartmoor and South Devon. What a gem of a place. Our room had recently been refurbished and what a stunning job the owners have done. Tastefully decorated, luxurious shower room and the large bed was so comfortable. Small touches like a coffee pod machine and a fridge stocked with drinks and snacks added to our experience. Breakfast was served in The Little Lodge, (next to the main hotel), my favourite was the smoked salmon with buckwheat pancakes and proper coffee was also available. The main bar/dining area had also had a refit and it is such a modern relaxing place for drinks and dining. The food served there is amazing, I would definitely recommend trying the fresh fish. ( delivered daily I was told). Can't wait for a return visit.

This is a really lovely hotel. The staff couldnβt have done more for us, the food was amazing and our room was both comfortable and spotlessly clean. Itβs in a great location, right on the edge of the moors and an easy drive to the coast. I would highly recommend a visit!

Fabulous fish and chips, the cider batter was to die for. Everything is freshly prepared so no rush. The three staff who served us were very friendly and attentive and wore gloves when serving. The layout of the restaurant was very relaxing plenty of distance between tables.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Couldn't do enough for us...they were extremely busy as there were large parties enjoying xmas meals...but that didn't phase them as to how friendly they were to us. So lovely. Super log fire in bar.

We were recommended to go to the Dartmoor Lodge and we really weren't disappointed. There was 6 of us and the owner and family were welcoming and professional. The lasagne I has was the best I have had, the meat content was just right and all the other meals were enjoyed Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Nice place. Food is no frills, good portion sizes. Staff are lovely and can't do enough. Fish and chips looked immense and the pulled beef lasagne was well received with no complaints. Only one minor thing was the burger was overcooked and a bit dry but still tasty. Definitely would visit again.
