The shop itself is good but this review goes out to the older gentleman late 50s. Yes I see you, I saw how you treat your customers especially those who paid by cash, looking down your nose as if you're better than them. You are abrupt verging on rude. Just because some people still like to pay with cash DOES NOT mean you are above them, yes I saw the way you took their money as if it were covered in dog s... and right in front of their face sanitising your hands. OK that is allowed but have a little discretion rather than your obnoxious attitude. You Sir are definitely in the wrong job!! You are NOT above paying customers, you are a poundland employee!!

One member of staff was very rude to my six year old who was buying something herself with money from her purse, he basically said can you hurry up I have a big queue! It was really mean when she was being brave doing it by herself and learning how to count money. I’m sure he wouldn’t have hurried up an elderly person if they are a bit slower. He was just generally very rude

Lovely shop and friendly staff, my only concern is the goerge Orwell style self scanning which one constantly has to request help with which makes one feel like a theif or a problem. There is always two members of staff in the till area whom could be serving people themselves yet we have to use the self service which is slower than being served by a member of staff.

I feel sorry for the staff who have to work at this shop and check the tills everytime it flashes red, whatever this policy is about if your shopping has to be checked more that once and it is a large shop all it does is make your staff treat your customers as if they are stealing, theives and can't be trusted, which creates a horrible negative shopping experience for anyone. If you have a problem with shop lifting don't allow self scanning... or maybe create a policy that allowed your customers to be treated with respect. Genuinely feel sorry for any staff who have to work and abide by this policy, much better working conditions in other shops I am sure!

Always well stocked and easy to find what your looking for. I would of given it 5 stars but there is a man that works in there and he isn't very nice to me, he watches over my shoulder then tells me that he will put my items through the self service till and counts how many items I have in my bag and what's on the receipt. He's the only member of staff that does this to me. Then when I wait outside the shop he starts having a go at me because I'm waiting for a friend still in the shop and he's even accused me of stealing. I mean it's called Poundland so why would anyone want to steal from there when it costs a pound. He needs to go.
