My daughter went to a summer scheme at Enact Music and will be starting with the Rock Band classes in the coming weeks. I was amazed by everything she learned during the summer and the passion and expertise of the staff. She had a fabulous time and was buzzing with creativity every day. It’s a wonderful organisation and I would wholeheartedly recommend.
This is a modern, well structured and thorough course offering excellent on line resources, a comprehensive accompanying guidebook, and highly professional support from tutoring team members and the course Director. The modules are intensive but relevant and rewarding. The outcomes have reinvigorated my teaching skills, helped me embrace and apply new concepts, and feel much more reassured in my teaching. My students have readily embraced our newly enhanced reflexive practices, focus on self-expression, composition and improvisation, and encouragement in becoming self-regulated learners. I started as a adult learner, the lessons were informative and helped me understand the basics through to playing different notes. Lilian was patient and worked around my work commitments. As an adult I was worried to try something new, but the experience was great. Highly recommend giving them a shout if you want to learn a new skill
I came to Enact Music as an Adult beginner piano player. I had been playing for a while and did a couple method books but I felt I needed some hands on teaching to take my playing to the next level. As an adult I was a little apprehensive starting lessons but the level of teaching is absolutely excellent. I went from grade 2 to grade 5 in a very short period of time and my confidence in playing has moved up leaps and bounds. The quality of the pianos in the studio are excellent and a joy to learn on. I can highly recommend Enact if you are looking for lessons!
I have joined the CME course in Enact Music. It really benefited a lot in my teaching skills. It gave fabulous ideas on holistic, imaginative connections to inspire and nurture students' musical learning and interest. I am so thankful that Lilian and her team gave me great guidance and support during the course. Strongly recommend this course to those who want to be better music educators!
My oldest son has music classes at Enact Music. I can only hope my youngest follows suit. I notice a gradual development, both on a musical and personal levels, as I see his dexterity and sharpness improve with the classes. Mainly during lockdown, his classes gave him a sense of purpose and something to long for. I cannot fault Mike and Paul's patience when teaching the piano and the guitar and Lilian has been nothing but kind to us. I had no influence in my son taking up music classes and I have no musical inkling whatsoever but I would be disappointed if he wouldn't want to progress with his classes. Because I know he is in the best of hands and I feel his talent is being nurtured. I am proud of everything my son is achieving at school, but a great deal of my pride as a parent is related to his music achievements. I cannot recommend enough.
I have had such a positive experience using this service. It is extremely professionally and thoroughly run with up to date information and effective communication. The violin tutor (Aimee) that my daughter has contact with has made such a difference by instilling enjoyment and confidence in her playing which I believe is the foundation to greater learning. I especially love the fact that the service is tailored to the needs of the child and the family with choice of venue, instrument, lesson time, tutor and experience. I have never encountered this before and it works so well for everyone. We are very happy with Enact music and have recommended to numerous families since we began.
In 2020 I decided to do a CME course with Enact Music. From the very start, I received only support, encouragement, and constructive feedback, which help me to build my confidence in online and in-person teaching. The work I did with my mentor Lilian lead me to apply for a master's degree in the US not even one year later. I am extremely grateful to Enact for the support and opportunities even after the course finished. I love the network and the community that Enact has created and I am now part of.
Enact music under the highly professional and fantastic musicianship of Lilian is a first class music school. Lilian is not only a highly motivated and experience teacher she is also a kind and caring person who works her magic by getting children to play immaculately and beautifully to such high standards. She is sensitive to their needs and is skilled at developing their talents to their own capabilities. My children also attend theory and violin with Mary who is equally fantastic and well clued into their musical needs. I highly recommend Enact!
My 9 yr old daughter has been having piano lessons for 2 years with Lilian Simones and is progressing well through the grades. We are delighted with her progress! So far she has achieved distinction in prep grade, and high merits in both grades 1 and 2 along with distinction in grade 1 music theory, and is really enjoying the piano. Lilian is an outstanding, highly skilled piano teacher who is so patient and passionate about what she does. My daughter is developing a great love and understanding of music and is keen to develop her skills further. I would highly recommend Enact Music!
