Always a treat to visit here. A massive selection of magazines especially for kids. American sweets, snacks galore and a freezer section. Kept me going through COVID with milk and eggs too
I live local and have used the shop many times every single time I go there all staff are pleasant , friendly and polite absolutely head and shoulders above the usual misers you meet In Local shops there is a real community spirit feel in Shaunz stores, always greeted with friendly hello and a smile even my 2 sons are not ignored a credit to shopkeepers every and setting the bar as to how a shop should be run I think the last negative reviewer probably misread the pricing labels on coke. My 8 year old is always excited to see what the shop sign is displaying such as Christmas and Easter, he always knows when we are near home as we pass this wonderfully local shop
I am changing my review as the shop has improved a lot since the original owners have taken it back. Kind polite and friendly, New Clean Layout Disabled friendly, and Guide dog friendly.
On the upside the staff are always friendly. On the downside bread and cakes are always old and stale and often mouldy. Do they never check their stock? I used to get muffins from here until one day I picked one up and it was completely blue with mould underneath! Today I looked at the bread loaves and they were all nearly a week old and one had you guessed it a spot of mould on it. Whenever I bought bread from here it was always old and stale too stale even for toast, I will never buy bread from here again! As long as you stick to non perishable stuff you're golden. Milk is probably okay but for some reason anything else perishable is always left on the shelf until it rots. I'd be surprised if no one has ever gotten food poisoning from this place.
Hmm seems slot of shop owners don't know the laws in the UK. When it comes to managing a shop to what's allowed and what's not. Should actually have courses for these not letting a guide dog in how dumb are you.
To refuse a woman entry into your shop because you believe the dog was a normal one is a disgrace you could clearly see it was a guide dog with its reflective jacket and markings a hope the look up the law 1st before making a judgment its under this Guide dog and assistance dog owners have important rights under the Equality Act 2010. You sir will be getting fined ....for your Act il deffo stay away from your shop!! In the future....
Horrible. They refused a lovely lady who was blind and had a guide dog. Treat others how you want to be treated. It's against the law to refuse a blind person with a guide dog into a shop. Disgusting behaviour
