   With a growing queue piling up, staff stood by and watched until one decided to ask his colleague to go on the tills. He (middle aged asian man, with small goatee under lower lip and NO name tag) drags his feet to go and tell customers at the post office that it opens at 2pm after alledgedly just having served someone as they had cash. He then joins the third colleague on the shop for for a conversation while the main shop queue continues to grow. He is scorned by 3 customers for his actions, which he ignores. With four people ahead of me and 2 (groaning) behind, I then ask him if someone on the shop floor will jump on the tills. He doesn't acknowledge me or apologise "for the wait". He drags his feet around to the tills. This man serves the person infront of me with a stoney face. Then, serves me by smashing all of my food into the bag, not acknowledging me but to tell me the price. As I left he did a swat motion, flinging his hands and dumping the products I decided not to take into the basket. Had he decided to jump back on the tills when his colleague advised, I am sure he would have avoided atleast some of the irritation from customers. The staff should all have name tags on and one of the basic rules of customer service should have been adhered to: Respect.

   Honestly, I’ve been here thrice and it gets worse with every visit. They never want to do stuff with post office/EVRI; unsure how they were sanctioned. There is this white lady who is quite a problem. The reason they didn’t wanna take my EVRI parcel were - they would have to serve the next customer who walks in too, the meat would have to be left out, they are just two of them in the store, they work under management instructions and have been instructed to not do it (from random to hilarious). The guy who eventually served me said he is only doing it coz I’m WASTING HIS TIME, when I asked him to call the manager (and took my name and number saying I’ll get a call from head office). I would definitely be reporting this to the post office and EVRI team as we need a better service around!

   There is a lady, by the name of jessie who works in here and everytime I go in for my morning paper she makes me smile. Her kind words and sense of warmth. Makes my day every day! She seems to have such a graceful way about her. With many of the locals she brings a bit of light x

   The Post office service is not the same hours as advertised. I have gone there on many occasions at different times throughout the day, only to be told that is closed for the next 30mins? Due to staff shortages/breaks etc. The staff are generally nice and friendly though, but the post office service is a let down.

   Just left McCalls, if u want a chance of catching covid go in there now as the guy serving at the post office isnt wearing a mask. There is a sign in store thanking people for wearing masks but it seems it doesn't apply to him. Wearing a mask it to protect others especially the other members of staff behind the counter he is working with. 6pm on 30/7.

   I visited this post office to post items recorded delivery. The service i received from Brian (Manager) was absolutely 1st class and he is a very helpful gentleman. I will now regularly use this post office
