I have not had an issue with individual staff, they have all been friendly and given useful (but inconsistent) advice. However the way the practice conducts it's fees is unethical. I was made to pay excessively for scripts which was totally unnecessary. They quote vetenary GUIDELINES in their defense, and at no point acknowledged they are purposely skewing the guidelines to their benefit in order to rinse the customers of their money. As I said- unethical. There also seems to be incredibly poor communication between the requests put through regarding prescriptions, the vetenary team, and the admin staff. It took me a month to get a simple request through due to the amount of confusion within the practice, including phone calls from admin staff giving me misinformation and requests for money which were not correct. All this even though my initial request was concise and in writing. I'm currently actively looking for an alternative vetenary practice with better customer service and more ethical standards surrounding cost and billing.

I would give 0 stars if I could. The staff are rude, and the manager of this branch (who I believe is also a vet) lied to me on the phone. One of vets told me that the worming treatment given to my cat was effective, but a friend of mine who went to another vet from the same company with the same problem my cat had was told that a different worming treatment would be better. (cats are the same age and are sisters) In the end, my cat still has problems, while my friend’s pet has recovered. When I called back for answers, the manager outright lied to me and told me it would be best to find another vet. Luckily, the phone conversations are recorded, and I will be going through the proper channels to report them. Absolutely appalling service.

If you have a flat face breed dog DO NOT BRING THEM HERE. Brought my 10yo pup in because hes started breathing badly which is not like him (part chihuahua, breathes fine). Was told "thats what they do". They think I'd bring my dog in for something that he notmally does?! What an absolute pizz take. She was more interested in my neck tattoo and fussing him than actually looking into what i was telling her. She couldn't even read his notes properly, she thought he'd put 3kg on in 10 months instead of 10 years. Booked in for dental work (which is a 3 month wait) and actually thinking about going elsewhere after this and reading the reviews. I'm so stressed about the lack of help they shown whilst listening to him struggle to breathe (I'm 99% sure he's got an infection) i cant sleep. Do better v4p

Took my rabbit for his neutering here, I was asked to bring him a packed lunch which I did. Consisted of a watermelon slice (as a treat) carrot, and romaine. Came to pick him up to be told that he has had diarrhoea (which he has not, I check his litter box daily) and that it was because of the water contents in the veg and that they had not fed it to him. I asked what they had fed, and without my consent or calling to ask, they had fed him Burgess, when he is on science selective pellets which can cause issues if youre feeding on another brand. I know my rabbit and I know what he should be eating personally for him. Really not happy, but thats an understatement however receptionists are lovely.

Not good had to wait 45 minutes over my appointment time no one apologised the 2 receptionist just ignored me like I wasn’t and you have to pay consultation free, even when you know what’s wrong with the pet only wanted re-prescription and told me the same thing when I got those I give the vet the consultation would never be going back here rip off

Absolutrly shocking experience and all because we used an RSPCA voucher for a cat spayin. Started off lovely, the nurses took our cat in and had no problems. First issues started at the immediate consultation after. Advice that sounded odd considering I've had 3 cats spayed before and can exactly remember the information told. Wasn't told to keep the cat still this time around and that she was okay to move around just so long as she didn't jump. We followed the advice and gave her her medicine as stated. 2nd consultation, different vet. Completely different advice and concerns the wound wasn't healing. Told we should have kept her more still. I had to be the one to suggest the use of the dogs cage to limit her movement, not the vet nurse, who then agreed it might be a good idea. Told to come back in 5 days and not given further medicine. 3rd consultation. Different vet again. New advice, told we had to continue limit movement and if we had used the medication as per second/third visit. Wasn't given any medicine on 2nd visit. This vet was confused and sent us away with medication. Told us to come back in a week. We have since refused to go back and sought veterinary advice elsewhere who were confused by all the different advice we'd been given. Now we are looking at taking this further as we felt penalised for using an RSPCA voucher (basically makes the treatment free) and taken through loads of consultations with incorrect advice, tk purposely make our cat poorly so they could charge more money! AVOID AVOID AVOID.

I took my hamster here to be sent to be cremated. This was on December 8th. I rang up numerous times a week after as I was told it would be a week. Every time I rang they would say she’s not back yet, or they would find out what’s happening and would call me back. I called again Christmas Eve, was told I would get a call back and never did. Yesterday I went in and asked again (second time going in and not getting any help on the phone) and was told I would get a phone call in the morning and nothing. Went in after lunch today and was told that they didn’t know what has happened, they don’t even know if she was sent to be cremated. Refund wasn’t even offered until it was mentioned by my friend. Staff was apologetic but I’m absolutely disgusted that it’s taken this long to find this out and the fact that no one knows what has happened or where she is. I then called the actual crematorium who have no record at all of receiving her or any notes to say she was coming to be cremated. Nothing on the system what so ever. When I rang to say I wanted to make a complaint the response from the receptionist was rude. I would not recommend this vet, quick enough to take your money yet the communication is poor and it seems like no one actually knows what is going on. Wouldn’t even give them one star.

Took my dog here last Friday because he had a sticky eye, vet told me it was conjunctivitis, was literally few mins, tiny tube of drops later and a bill for 85 pounds. Discovered later that you can buy the same drops on line for 9 pounds. Have great respect for vets but seriously 85 pounds for 5 mins I'm gathering these are not worrying about enery bills and cost of living going up. I have worked for the nhs as a cleaner for 37 years and I don't get that amount of money for a day's work .Just saying little bit greedy.
