A very beautiful place to go out with family and friends. It’s quiet and calm, especially beautiful in autumn.

Cotgrave Country Park is a fantastic spot, especially for those who enjoy long walks, cycling, or just spending time outdoors. The park is impressively large with a great range of trail lengths, making it suitable for both casual walkers and more serious hikers. There are plenty of benches throughout for a relaxing break, and it’s extremely dog-friendly — there are lots of dedicated bins for dog poo and even a special dog pound area where dogs can run and play safely. The park is clearly conscious of the environment, featuring bee and bug hotels (“tiny houses”), and you’ll often spot wildlife along the trails. On Fridays and weekends when the weather is good, a remote coffee van visits, offering a nice treat during your stroll. Walkers and cyclists alike are welcome here, and the Grantham Canal running through the park is part of a national cycle path, making it easy to extend your route. Another big plus is the allocated car park, which is free of charge. The whole experience is family-friendly, eco-conscious, and very accessible for locals and visitors alike. Highly recommended for a nature walk, cycle, or just a relaxing day out with the dog!

It has a fair size free carpark and the park has many routes you can follow which are colour coded. There is a main path which has small paths leading off to other places to explore.

Really great park. 4 different trails to pick from with great navigational posts. A lot of shortcuts all over the place. All the pahts are great and maintained.

Coatgrave County Park is a wonderful place for a peaceful walk. It’s quiet, very clean, and well-maintained. The walking paths are easy to navigate and perfect for a relaxing stroll or light exercise. There’s a great playground for kids with plenty of space to run around, and a designated dog toilet area that makes it convenient for pet owners. Overall, it’s a lovely spot to enjoy some fresh air and nature, whether you’re on your own, with kids, or walking your dog.

Great for walking, with dogs and children, a little play park there and a dog pond as well as a few dog runs that are gated. We'll paved all around for wheelchair uses. There was a little coffee van too for refreshments. Lots of bird life. Kids also had an activity section near the moddl for building dens. Th lock was pretty and water addition is nice and adds to wildlife.

A good place for dog walks but relatively flat, uninspiring scenery. The ponds are the highlight and the paths are well marked so no risk of getting lost.

Perfect place to come if you are after a peaceful walk or a quiet place to cycle. There is a free car park on the outskirts for about 25 cars or so. It wasn't that busy weekday during August when we visited. The paths are well maintained and reasonably easy to follow the four different marked routes if so inclined. Only a short walk from the centre of Cotgrave for refreshments and shops.

Great place to go for a walk or cycle. You can go round quiet a few times and still find new things to explore. Good for the family or walking the dog. There's even a lake for the dogs to jump in. If you go at the right time of year, there's a chance you will see the newly born animals too!
