We had an emergency with Nigel, Cornwall Hospice”s beloved cat. The team rallied round to fund his visit and we were absolutely delighted with the care he received. We cannot recommend the team enough! Nigel is a cherished member of our team and we are delighted he is better and continuing his vital role at the hospice! Thank you to the entire team x
St Austell practice, the vets were so compassionate with our loss it was if they were part of our family,the special treatment of our new puppy was incredible, we are so pleased to be associated with them and highly recommend this practice.
We were on holiday in our motorhome from Whitby with our elderly dog Winnie. We knew she had only days left of her life. She started unrelated to be ill from both ends. I phoned this vet’s, young lady receptionist was lovely and booked us in immediately. The vet saw Winnie, prescribed medication which helped make her more comfortable, his manner dealing with us was spot on, he was reassuring, compassionate, but importantly helped us to focus on Winnie’s needs. We cut our holiday short, returned home and Winnie died at home. I can’t recommend this vet practice enough, where kind, quick to help us and above all we felt were focused on our little girl, guiding my wife and I with the right advice Thankyou to all the team
Following the passing of one of our beloved family members , Polly, the team stepped up and were so supportive and accommodating. Very grateful for the whole process, followed up with a beautiful sympathy card and scatter seeds.
I’ve been using Penmellyn Vets for 15 years, using the branches in Newquay, St Columb and St Austell during this time. I have always found the experience to be really positive, the staff, receptionists and vets have been friendly and helpful. I also find the pet care plan invaluable, as it gives you monthly reminders as to when you need treat your pets for fleas and worms. It is cost effective and booking for annual check ups etc is really simple. I would definitely recommend Penmellyn to anyone.
Have really helped with the care for our little cat Jak, he's been a bit of a mystery and has had to have multiple appointments and treatments. Not only did Leah (vet) help us and answer all questions we asked but she also made it possible for us to continue helping him when we were struggling financially. The reception staff are also extremely lovely and have a lovely relatable vibe which makes it so much easier to leave our pets with them!:)
Excellent support from Richard for our elderly labrador, Bess, who appeared to have suffered a stroke. A thorough, caring assessment revealed that it was in fact vestibular disease, which should resolve itself without any treatment. Richard brought us much relief with great sensitivity and reassurance.
Highly recommend Penmellyn Vets. We were on holiday in the area and our dogs came into contact with grapes (turns out these are bad news for dogs). We phoned them in a bit of a panic and they saw the dogs right away, put us at ease and looked after all of us. All the team were super friendly, helpful and made us all feel a lot better about the situation. Thank you!!!
