Penmellyn vets were fantastic. They rang me 2- 3 times a day giving me updates on my cat Rosie. I was aloud to go and see her and also I could ring the team at anytime. I can’t fault anyone.

I honestly cannot thank Christian and the team at Penmellyn, St Columb Major enough for their treatment and care of our cat Merlin who was seriously injured in an RTA. He was in surgery within 24hrs of the accident and at the time it was hard to believe that after 8 weeks he would be back to his former self. The transparency of pricing from Penmellyn was a welcome breath of fresh air. I was convinced that we were going to be charged for lots of extras and sundries but we were billed for exactly what we were quoted. We've been so impressed with the service and care at Penmellyn that we are going to transfer all three of our pets from our current vet in to their care. Highly recommended!

I needed the out of hours vets service last night for our spaniel. I cannot thank them enough for their professionalism, reassurance and kindness. The issue was resolved promptly and we left with a much more comfortable dog. Thank you to both the vet and nurse that looked after us.

Bella hasn't had the best start with my previous vets. It has left her very nervous. On first meeting with reception staff and vet it was a different experience all together. The reception staff came and introduced themselves to myself and especially Bella, which seemed to calm her down quite a bit. Going in to see the vet she also didn't rush Bella, spoke calmly to Bella, sat on floor with her and made alot of fuss to her. I myself also didn't feel rushed when asking questions very helpful, and my questions were answered. I am so glad I have found a vets that I feel will treat myself and especially Bella with respect and love. Thank you so much everyone I met yesterday, making are first meeting a warm and friendly one. They were excellent. My dog had to have surgery on her knee, the surgeon explained every detail of what he was going to do, and took the trouble to ring me after surgery, to explain how it went and what had been performed. The after op care was brilliant, going through what I needed to do when we got home, and a printout as well. The receptionists, although very busy, took the time to sort out the insurance details for me.

We needed urgent care for our Cocker Spaniel, Doug, after he cut his leg very badly. We were seen within 30 Minutes at the St. Austell branch and he was looked after superbly well by all the staff at the practice. Very caring and supportive.

Taking a cat to the vets is always a stressful experience for humans and their cats, but Penmellyn have really impressed me with their cat friendly consultations, and allowed my cat to explore the room, and give him his check up in a place that is comfortable for him. Last week, my cat had his annual check up and vaccination appointment and the vet examined him and weighed him on the table, and then allowed him to explore the room before vaccinating him on the floor. Really happy with how Gizmo was treated, even though he squeaked his way though the consultation!
