Beautiful little harbour, it has barely changed since I was a child when my father took us to catch crabs with the old crabs lines some 55 years ago although there are many places around the Antrim coast that have stood still in time, it's one of the things I love about northern ireland you're memories are brought back to life visually.
Peace and quiet and a fantastic view to chill with a coffee. If you’re patient enough you might even see some dolphins. A colony of Guillemots breed here every year, April to August, charming little creatures.
Nice harbour and great sunsets. Good spot to park and go for walks from.
Cockle Row cottages now open at weekends. Check Ards and North Down Borough Council for times etc. Nice spot and great pub grub at Groomsport Inn
If you are looking for a nice walk, a great pub lunch, a cuppa or food in the cafe, or a day at the beach, Groomsport won't disappoint.
Lovely quiet clean harbour, worth a stop grab an ice-cream from Spar, enjoy watching the boats. You can link unto the coastal path for a walk or take a dander down to the beach.
Having lived there several years ago I keep going back for the beautiful views.
Beautiful at sunset and overall just a nice place to sit and watch the world go by
Wonderful peaceful area. Beautiful ocean views. Well kept, tidy and welcoming. Public toilets at carpark.
