Came for a late lunch with my wife as we hadn't been in a while, Ellie and Abbie both looked after us and they were fantastic, very prompt, always smiling and attentive. Food was excellent too! Won't leave it as long to come back next time!

Beyond the good choice of tasty food etc our visit was made exceptional by the outstanding high quality of service by Ellie. NOTHING was too much trouble - warm, friendly, genuine. A first class ambassador for hospitality standards!

I went to ASK looking for something to eat after being out most of the day and having quite an appetite. I ordered a Margherita pizza with a portion of fries topped with cheese and garlic. I’m really disappointed — my pizza was almost £14 and had no quality or freshness whatsoever. It tasted like a frozen pizza, there was no oregano as mentioned on the menu, and it was quite small. The restaurant wasn’t even busy. The two young cooks looked bored and miserable, and the whole atmosphere was unwelcoming, which made the experience even worse. I didn’t complain at the time because the people cooking didn’t seem to be trained chefs but rather young staff with little experience so no point to send the food back. It’s frustrating how some places use the word Italian as if it guarantees quality, yet completely fail to deliver it. Charging those prices without proper training or good food is unacceptable. I honestly would not recommend this place at all.

We had the most amazing late lunch/early dinner at ASK Lewes. The team are so kind and considerate, always keeping everything clean with super speedy service. It’s a lovely place to eat with great atmosphere - we make quite a long journey to this one because it’s our favourite. Worth every penny!

We have really enjoyed our food at ASK. It's on high street and plenty of parking options nearby. One could easily reach out at ASK from Train station. Ambience is nice and perfect for brunch or dinner. Not really expensive and have plenty of options for vegan and vegetarian. We enjoyed our pizza and garlic bread. Will visit again.

We went in on a hot Sunday afternoon, no air conditioning unfortunately but temperatures tolerable at a quiet time and is was close to home after a long hot walk. I have used Ask over the years and obviously it's a chain and menu selection is relatively limited My partner had the Crayfish pasta which she said was delicious. I opted for the Vegan N'Duja pizza which, to be honest, was exceptional. I am not a vegan, it just sounded nice and exceeded all expectations The staff were very friendly and the service was efficient. Better than the bad reviews.

Ask Italian Lewes wouldn’t exactly be what I identified as ‘classic italian’. I have had to eat from here several times, but admittedly not in restaurant (would have it packaged and walk down to my hotel with it). The packaging was great and kept the food hot. Unfortunately, it really is just bland and not worth eating. I tried 4 different pastas and they were just not even seasoned with salt and pepper. The garlic tiger prawns were very garlicky and delicious. The calamari was quite good, particularly the aioli that came with it. The service is very quick and all the staff are super friendly and inviting. Not sure I would recommend this restaurant for a dining experience.
