Everything was excellent, I could not fault it at all. The food was delicious, it might be the best food I’ve ever tasted!! Service was fast and friendly, everyone was very attentive. Beautiful little spot too with nice low lighting and a great playlist! I could not recommend it more and I can’t wait to come back. Thank you!!

Came for dinner on Sat night. I've been coming here for years, and have always loved it. Dinner on Sat was perfect, Catherine our waiter was on point, attentive and charming. The bar guys kept our glasses full and gave great recommendations. Every dish was seasoned and balanced, the kitchen nailed it! Cant wait to come back. Thanks again.

Absolutely loved our dinner at Plateau. We both went for the lamb rump – perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. Shared the crispy potatoes with alioli, which were golden, crunchy, and seriously moreish. The hibiscus margarita was a standout – refreshing, slightly floral, and great to sip on. Lovely atmosphere, friendly service, and a relaxed but vibrant vibe.

Didn’t plan to shoot — just to sit and work. But then Plateau happened. A bluish-green facade with tiled charm pulled me in. Brick walls, a black mosaic bar, warm orange lighting from oversized lamps… the kind of space that quietly asks to be photographed. The ginger lady behind the bar welcomed me with a smile, and that set the tone — this place feels kind. Eventually, I closed the laptop and opened the lens. Couldn’t resist.

Popped in for a quick drink as part of date night with my wife. Sat at the bar, which would have been my preferred choice regardless. My wife loved her espresso martini. I had an arty farty lemonade which was nice. The bread and olive oil with seeds in was absolutely amazing. As good as I’ve had, and I’ve been to Italy etc. Small, intimate establishment. We got lucky did advise booking a table and wouldn’t recommend it for a large party. Would certainly return.

Been coming to Plateau for years, and this is my first time since the pandemic, and am incredibly happy and amazed that their food, wines and service are still absolutely fantastic! Super nice lunch with fresh scratch-made sharing dishes, fabulous natural wines and I can’t wait to go back for more!

Plateu is a great spot for delicious seafood dishes in Brighton. The atmosphere is very relaxed and it’s the place to go where you wanna have your seafood with wine. I had some fresh oysters and the Bavette steak, both of which were quite tasty. We finished with a cheesecake for dessert - which was alright, but nothing out of the ordinary.

French food was delicious at this establishment. My friend and I were in Brighton for the weekend and we came here twice both at night and for lunch. Some of the wines by the glass can be a bit peculiar but food was stunning and delicate using such a great combination of fresh ingredients.

Lovely drinks (cocktail and the orange wine!)and food. Each dish has unique and full of flavour. Will love to try different things next time. However, I mark one star down mainly for the price/portion. I really don't mind paying 10 pound for a tapas pork skewer but just one skwer is a bit too little, what would be the cost difference if you add another one? You can only "taste" it if you share. Meanwhile, 3 tiny sardines? And half of a sweet corn? Maybe it's designed to be drink snacks rather than a meal as it's a wine bar. But when you have nice food but tiny portion you always wonder maybe you should have a proper meal before this, but again would you order food if you are full already?

Really excellent food, the smoked anchovies were unbelievable as well as the beef tartare. Really tasty wine list as well. Cant recommend enough if you like sharing lots of tasty plates with mates!!
