   Had a takeaway the other night, it wasn’t very nice and made my partner and myself rather sick through the night. Just found out they have been given a 1 star hygiene rating.

   Saturday night curry. Chicken tikka naga, vegetable dansak, onion bhajis, mushroom rice, poppadoms. Absolutely delicious, cannot fault it, melt in your mouth food.

   I live 1 minute down the road from curry cottage yet didn’t know about it and I am so annoyed I didn’t find about about it sooner because the food is amazing!! Really well priced curry’s for how amazing they are! If you live near you it’s worth picking up the food as it is cooked so quickly and they give you a free beer or soft drink if you pick up. Couldn’t recommend it more

   This is the worst curry and service I have ever received and I have been a customer for years. When I called to order I queried how much the delivery was, I did say it was about 2-2.5 miles roughly and the gentleman at curry cottage said it would be free delivery. Delivery turns up and I'm being charged £3 extra for delivery. I rang the curry cottage and queried this, they said because its further its a charge. This would of been good to be informed of prior to arrival and should of been checked there end considering I gave them my address.......I wasn't 100% accurate, I hold my hands up but I wasn't that far out, the gentleman said we will leave the delivery charge but if we order again then there would be a charge....he was very nice and we ended the call nicely. All of a sudden I get a call from curry cottage from a rude obnoxious gentle saying that I hadn't paid his delivery driver, I tried to explain the conversation I had with the previous gentleman, he didn't want to know. I said......you forgot the naan so take the delivery out of that and don't bother dropping it off. The gentleman angrily said not to take advantage and hung up! Furious is not the word! Don't order from here.......disgusting behaviour and food!

   Curry Cottage is a great place for a takeaway. I have ordered regularly on the web and collected. The food is very good always hot and tastes fantastic. The staff are always polite.

   I WOULDN'T BOTHER!! Save yourself the disappointment plz, the food is under seasoned and tasted reheated. The chicken was dry and sauce very thick. The special fried rice was just egg and hard peas (not so special). Onion bajis were raw hard onion on inside Over 40 quid no free poppadoms and sent the wrong drinks. Better takeaways in lewes.

   Staying in the area for one night only we asked a taxi driver for a recommendation for an Indian. Farooq told us about this place so we headed straight there. Great service, quick, hot food, good value and really tasty. Also free beers with collection order over £30. Totally recommend this place.

   Fine! In fact way better than you might think from the interior. Give it a go. Loads wrong with it but the food was pretty darn great. My particular highlight was moth balls in the urinals.
