Very convenient cafe/restaurant facilities with great performances at times. However, customer service isn’t great. Leave one person to take the orders, whilst others pretend to be busy. No system what’s so ever, so allow time for service. Food is excellent, albeit slightly on the high side, but organically produced. Tables don’t get cleared that frequently. Nevertheless, a nice little theatre with nice facilities.

The most comfortable seats I have ever experienced at a cinema. The screens are always clean, welcoming and a pleasure to attend to watch a film. The little kiosk is ideal to get a drink before and the food looked delicious, although havent tried

In my experience, l found the food to have smaller than average portions, not particularly tasty, certainly not enough vegetables, and the menu was limited and pseud-sopisticated. Also, slightly over-priced. However, the restaurant has a warm, open atmosophere, family friendly and the staff are helpful.

Went here to watch one of the film that was on during the week (Urchin) and had a wonderful experience. Very smooth process from booking online, arriving and interacting with very friendly staff. Then the actual theatre. Absolutely comfortable 10/10. Very clean environment; comfortable seating; and the sound system was perfect. Literally had a better movie experience here than I did at a much larger operated cinema 2 days prior.

I used to pass by here on the way to college back in 2009-11. So, being informed there’s a cinema now I was imaging some tiny 1 screen establishment. Yet, to my amazement The Depot Cinema and Restaurant is quite the modern spacious marvel! Stopping by for food before sitting comfortably to watch Conclave may be one of my favourite movie going experiences so far. The food was great and service very attentive. Seating in the cinema was cozy and felt like I was back home on my couch making The Depot my favourite cinema. Also, if driving is a chore you have the train station a stones throw away. It’s hard not to recommend this one!

Super cheap art cinema located right next to the Lewes train station. They show lots of art house films by A24 and others. The website is pretty easy to navigate too and their showing calendar is available there. Smaller screening rooms than the bigger companies like Cineworld and Odeon but seats are very comfortable and the experience is more intimate. The bar is clean, modern and spacious with outdoor seating. I’ll definitely be returning here regularly.

Has a wonderful atmosphere which puts the visitors in a mood of well-being. The light and staff make it a good place to visit, even if not going to the cinema. The auditorium continues the good feelings with comfort and intimacy with the screen and the audience. Lovely!

Wow, what a beautiful cinema. The seats are the comfiest seats ive ever sat in. The staff are wonderful and friendly. Screens and sound wonderfully clear. It's a shame there's no fresh popcorn but they have the best packet popcorn ive ever tasted. I think I'll be coming back again any time I want to see a film.

Fantastic independent cinema with restaurant, bar & social area to relax. 3 cinema screens so obviously restricted list of films. HOWEVER, most major films shown here, plus, loads of independent films, film seasons, film themes, live NT offerings etc. A great, relaxed, fun venue with much more atmosphere than any mainstream cinema. Food & drink available. Snacks, cakes, meals, drinks (including good selection of alcohol). Staff are friendly and enthusiastic.

We came here tonight for a film. The environment was great. The theater is clean and cosy. They don’t allow crisps in so no weird smell or food noises in the background. The projecting was good; no unwanted lights like some other cinemas. Tonight we watched “Casablanca Beats”, an excellent movie featured the struggles and agencies of young Moroccan rappers and dancers. Glad that the Depot is screening films like this!
