   Proper little gem of a pub. Pints are cheap, food’s great (when it’s on), and there’s always something going on - kids’ events, disability discos, community lunches, you name it. Just has a really good family atmosphere. Feels more like a big living room than a pub. Love it.

   We go along to the free Bevy family fun after school session on Thursday most weeks, and are made to feel really welcome by the volunteers and the pub. Each week there are different activities for the kids and we have a meal together at the end. We do things like parachute games, craft, giant outdoor games, tabletennis club outings, children's entertainers, water play etc. There is a good size space outdoors for them to let off some steam. It's nice to see kids of different ages from different local schools playing together and my kids really enjoy coming along!

   My dad and I noticed this place as we were passing in George Street and we decided to give it a go and we loved it. The decor is simple but pleasant and comfortable. We were greeted and served by the manager Titu, who was a wonderful host. Friendly, polite and quick with our food. He was very kind to us and even threw in a free nan when we quickly finished the first one. I tried the Chicken Balti and I think my Dad had the Chicken Korai. The food was fantastic, succulent and tasty. We were served poppadoms to start and 4 dips which were very pleasant too. We will definitely being going back there and will get takeaway from them too. They also do home delivery which is handy. It's only been open a few weeks so I highly recommend you check this place out as its new but hidden gem.

   The bacon roll was ok, but the bacon has been pre-cooked so luke warm when added to the roll. Meal deal at £3.79 with coffee. Ketchup or other condiments an extra 29p - really surely it could be included in the main price.

   Lovely warm sunny day and ordered breakfast to eat alfresco. Our food was delivered to the wrong table and they didn't say it was wrong to the server so it sat there for a while until the server realised his mistake. Then he passed it on to us. The fried egg yolk was broken and cooked solid. I asked for a fresh egg and when it arrived it was just plonked down on the table without any comment or apology for it being not right in the first place. I do like to dip my sausage and bacon in the egg yolk! The food was tasty enough but by that time they had let themselves down so badly on the service. Shame really. Could have been excellent with a little care and attention.

   Good local pub, staff are super friendly, there's sitting both inside and outside with heaters available. They do food but I've not had any yet so can't say if it's good, looks good though! And drinks are cheap which is great :)

   Absolutely lovely pub with the warmest and nicest staff, came here after a walk on the downs met with a brilliant roast. Good selection of beers and ciders on tap.
