   I had lunch at The Green Man today, but i wasn't overly impressed. The environment was nice, the fire was lit and they had lovely christmas decorations but the food was basic and the staff weren't very good at their jobs. We waited ages to be served and it took ages to have our plates cleared away. No one cane over to see if we wanted any more drinks or to pay our bill. Their were several waitresses just hanging out at the bar. We had to go up and pay in the end, and even then, they struggled to manage that.

   We pulled into the large car park, greeted by friendly staff. The tables are a decent size, which is a rarity nowadays. The children had lasagne, I had fish and chips and my husband has a burger. Portions are large but very tasty! The puddings come in regular or small sizes, in future I would go small, the regular were huge. We would definitely go back here and highly recommend.

   We went to the green man in Ringmer on Friday night. It was busy as usual but we managed to book a table for the 8 of us. As per usual the service and food was amazing. You get decent size portions for a very reasonable price. It’s one of our go to restaurants. Can never fault the place, always great food and service.

   I'm sure this won't get a response. This used to be my favourite pub for a beer and a chill but things have changed. All bar one,S, the impression the staff give is that you are a nuisance when you 'ask' to be served and 'ask' you have to or they will carry on doing whatever they are doing. I visited most days this week and always the same. Even the beer garden was the 'same' with the same litter and rubbish lying there for days. Its filthy, i wont be taking my kids there. Why do they not care anymore? Is it being redeveloped perhaps ? Can't think of any other reason.

   Gorgeous food, great big portion! Only let down would be the service time. The poor waitress was rushed off her feet and could of done with some help! We got bored of waiting for the desert menu !

   Love the green Man, always friendly staff. The portion sizes are huge- the halloumi great. I went for the fajita veggie wrap and was nice- not so sure about the carrot and the sauces they used for dipping? But other than that excited to come back and try another item from their huge menu!

   First time back since the start of covid and it was as good as ever! The dining area was open and spacious! The food was wonderful and plentiful. The staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. I had the Philly steak and cheese sandwich with chips and salad, lovely! Looking forward to future visits.

   Nice atmosphere. Very large main meals, ribs and chicken wings enjoyed. Managed to get a late moment booking due to cancellation, so worth trying spare of moment.

   Friendly staff, spotlessly clean pub with epic Xmas decorations! Food awesome, had steak, e Iain & mushroom pie, mash, veg, a huge plate of onion rings & 2 pints of real ale for £25, very good value.
