   All seemed well as we entered the pub, desperate for something nice to eat. We decided what we wanted, and went up to the bar to order. We told the man that we wanted food and drinks, and we ordered our drinks, and he made them straight away. When we moved on to ordering food out of the small menu, almost all items were not available. No fish and chips of the 3 options available, no sausages and chips. He also said ‘he might be able to do a burger’. We were disgusted by his unfriendly tone, and felt we had to pay for the drinks. We drunk our drink, and went to use the toilet, which was filthy. Felt like they hadn’t been cleaned in years. We left the pub feeling let down. The only pub (as it appeared) in the area, we expected better.

   Went for fish & chips here recently and although the pub looked lovely and inviting and a warm atmosphere, the food wasn’t as good as expected. We had cod and chips and the menu said chips, hand cut Maris Piper potatoes. Unfortunately the chips were small, overcooked and most likely frozen ones and not Maris Pipers . It was a little disappointing especially at nearly £16. Shame because the pub was lovely.

   Apart from delicious fish and chips and roasts and great service, it’s a very friendly and diverse place, everybody feels welcome and safe here - very child and dog friendly. Out of 3 pubs in Marina - Master Mariner is always our choice. Fantastic place to stop for meal or drink any time of the day or watch sport on a large TV screen. Always a real fire on a cold day Without exaggeration - this place is a part of Brighton’s history

   We hired the function room for a 50th disco party. We were able to decorate the place however we wanted. Sam was really helpful at making sure we had everything we needed, nothing was too big of an ask. The food was great that they supplied as well and catered to vegans. Thank you to the whole team on the night!

   Cosy pub next to the Mariner. My husband and I had fish and chips with ale batter and my daughter had the kids nuggets. The pub manager was very friendly and accommodating. Portions was worth the cost in today economy. Very satisfied with our visit.

   We stopped here for lunch on a Saturday. The atmosphere was a tiny bit dead but the food and service was very good. We both had fish and chips, the fish portion was huge and incredibly fresh. Mushy peas were nice and minty. We were quite impressed for a local pub. Worth a stop if you are in the marina!

   Visited midweek for lunch. The pub is slightly tucked away but is easy to find. It looks older than it is and has a large interior and a nice outside seating area overlooking the marina. The service was generally good but there was a long wait for the food to arrive. The pub wasn't particularly busy so I don't know how they manage during busy periods. The food was good and reasonably priced. They only have one ale on tap and this was off on the day of our visit. So I had to drink the American pale ale which wasn't too bad. The pub is dog friendly with water bowls outside. Overall a nice place to stop but be prepared to wait for your food.

   Lovely place but the roast dinner was awful. Rock solid piece of carrott. Slithers of fatty lamb. Burnt roast potatoes swimming in oil hidden under the the typical large cold Yorkshire to fill up the plate. We paid £17 each and this is not the only place that is cutting corners on meals. We have now decided to avoid Sunday roasts from now on and do our own.

   we couldn’t of asked for better , we didn’t book and had children with us, we popped in on the off chance they may have a table and i can honestly say we’ve never been more welcomed (mother’s day) anywhere we’ve been we went and found a table got to walk around and look at the most fabulous decor , we ordered food that was absolutely fantastic the staff are friendly and couldn’t help enough it was really lovely chatting to the owner Loui about the pub itself and it’s a stunning location all in all i would highly recommend for food , atmosphere, friendly staff, children and dogs welcome

   What a great find while we were at Brighton Marina! Beautiful pub with wood fire, lots of space and comfy spots as well as lovely staff. We ordered 6 small plates the portions were great, delicious mac n cheese, chicken wings, and fish goujons. The best dish was the croque madame, it was one of the best I have ever had (we ordered 2) If we didnt have other plans we would have stayed here drinking most of the day. We will definitely be coming back, thank you so much, always great finding a lovely pub!
