Food was really junk. The service junk and the atmosphere very loud with streams of people walking past our table to exit to the garden. Non stop. The girl serving came and apologised saying that she forgot us. Then as we were wanting to pay the bill and separately, which is our right, This clearly frustrated the young guy with the card machine. Let me describe my food. Ok so I ordered the burger and chips. Not cheap at all. I got large chunky chips which had been dropped into a fat fryer. Tasteless, and the burger had a soft white roll with meat inside. Small portion I want to add. Then to come with it you would have expected a side dressing. Salad yes. NOTHING was on my plate. Forgotten. And no relish too. When we called for service and sat waiting a while we asked for pudding. No we dont have cheese cake. No we dont have that either sorry, and no we dont have that also. Right ok, oh but my mistake she said, we do actually have cheese cake now. It's a poorly run place. I had always driven past it and wondered if it was nice inside. No its not. Loud and certainly doesn't have a nice restaurant feeling. Its more like a truckers cafe. I felt deeply embarrassed that friends I hadnt seen for a year accompanied me there. I had arranged the place though. Next day we had our breakfast in a cafe at Portslade. It was so much nicer.

Really disappointing meal and service. We booked for a group of 12 at 2pm Saturday. We were asked to provide our meal order the Thursday before which we did. The food took 1hr20 mins to come out and when it did it took 25 mins from the first plate being served until the last. 4 of the meals were wrong, there was no cutlery provided until we asked and some of the food was frozen! We had to ask several times for things and were pretty much ignored. The manager was made aware of the issues and no point came to speak to us instead two young servers were left to do the apologising. We were told one chef got too drunk the night before and therefore they were short staffed in the kitchen. At the end of the meal we asked to speak to the manager and was told he was busy in the kitchen but upon leaving the restaurant he was just stood behind the bar with several other members of staff. Whilst we understand things happen regarding staff shortages the lack of organisation and service was appalling. The fact that it was too much for the manager to take 5 seconds and come and apologise says everything. Attached is a photo of my meal that was £22 and was supposed to be cauliflower steak in fresh parsley, coriander, olive oil, lemon juice and light dressing. Would avoid!!!

We found this pub while strolling in Shoreham. Food came very quickly and fish and chips were very good. Overall I recommend if you would like good food in the area

Great bar with excellent bar staff and waiters. Table service is attentive in the restaurant with the option for classic pub going in the alternate bar, as well as a fantastic garden with heat lamps and gorgeous views over the river. Special shout out to Ash (not his actual name - I was too tippled to remember) for such great service - he brought real character to the bar.

Walking from Worthing to Brighton and found this absolute gem on the way. The very small bar can lead to longer wait times but this place is all about: 1 - the amazing beer garden overlooking the water. Loads of great seating plus a huge covered area is the weather ain't so great. Plus they play fab Ibiza chill out music giving it a very cool vibe. 2 - great food. Had a friend chicken and bacon sandwich. Honestly one of the best I've had! Juicy chicken in a light crispy coating in a light and crispy ciabatta. Great menu with plenty of specials too. They really make an effort. 3 - smiley, happy, service. There was a young guy in charge who was just on it. All the staff were on point and managed to keep on top of a big crowd of groups, families and couples. We'll be back !!!

A wonderful location next to the river with great views over the water. Friendly service and tasty food. I enjoyed the “Sloppy Joe” burger. If you like cider, they only have strongbow.
