They no longer serve food. Warm and comfortable seating but staff are rather remote. Not cheap, neither a wine bar nor a pub.
Popped in here twice during a few days stay in the area and enjoyed the atmosphere, friendly staff and locals who are obviously regulars. Good selection of wines and beers and I liked the wine glasses which had a lovely quality and feel! Some bars don't realise that serving wines/lagers/beers in the right glass is important! Decor is attractive as well!
We came here before dinner for a few drinks. It's got a cosy interior but was fairly busy which gave it a bit of atmosphere. Drinks were reasonably priced and service was efficient. I'll definitely come back for drinks again.
I’m half Chinese and this place is really good. Get the hot noodles with the slow cooked pork, and the pork belly bun. Friendly service too on a cold, quiet autumn afternoon
Well, since the refurbishment and hearing favourable reviews we all anticipated a good meal. The decor was good and the seating comfortable but what a shame it was service from the Bar !! By the time we had listed our orders - there were six of us - delegated one of our group to deliver it and then having to return to the table several times to sort out the variants available we were exhausted and ready for our next drink. Such a shame as the food was very good and the quantity satisfying. A good and varied Wine list accompanied the meal. All in all a pleasant evening but such a shame about the Service.

When for a pre dinner drink, the bar is well run with a good selection of beers. I only gave 3 stars as the background music was way way to loud, not the place for a chat unless you can lip read. Would have loved to have had a second drink but my eardrums couldn’t take anymore abuse. Turn the music down and would have rated it 4⭐️.
Cozy friendly bar, we felt welcome from both the bar staff and the regulars! A definite come back place, next time we are back from Sweden
