   Paid for my shopping on the self serve tills, forgot my lottery so went to the other tills where they sell cigarettes. Lottery was not working and the lady behind the till asked me if I paid for my shopping. I had to produce my receipt. Very uncomfortable position to be in and this lady should not be customer facing. Disgraceful behaviour, just imagine if I chose not to get a receipt......sort your staff out. Date of visit 12.00 on the 31.12.25 so you can investigate further

   I would just like to say that I visited the Cafe today around 3pm. The two young ladies working there was absolutely wonderful. Having taken a seat with my coffee I saw them on numerous occasions being so helpful to their customers, particulary those less able physically. They were fetching items for them to and from the tables, ensuring they had all they needed and were happy with their orders. They were polite, engaging and very courteous, and all done with grace and a smile. Thank you.

   A decent sized Waitrose with a good car park and the usual features like a bakery, cash machine, café and lavs. Given the history of the area it would have been the Roman's supermarket of choice had it been there when they were laying down the road north all those years ago. Your average centurion would no doubt have loved the deli counter, been confused by the sushi bar and been greatly pleased with the dedicated wines and spirits section after a hard days marching north or south in their sandals. If you've turned up in your modern steel chariot you will also be happy with what's on offer. Prices are often considered high compared to the bigger chains, but unlike you council estate sized pasta tray bake from a more value outlet, the cow will have actually been outside and trod...and deposited on real grass. As you would expect the staff are friendly and suitably attired to make them look like an army of 1950's shop keepers. Frustratingly they do shut at 9pm in the evening though, no doubt a conscious decision to stop them having to joust a broom at any riff-raff trying to get in!
