Tasty food, big plates, good prices, excellent service. Really, really nice people. Got the most enthusiastic handshake in my life when I thanked them for the meal. Try the coal-fired Entrecote!
We usually go to another restaurant a few doors down, but they’re currently renovating, so we decided to give this place a try — unfortunately, we really wish we hadn’t. When we arrived, we were seated in a very busy, cramped area even though the other side of the restaurant was completely empty. We politely asked if we could sit somewhere else, but were told we weren’t allowed to move and had to stay where we were put. It was uncomfortable, and the place was so cold that I had to keep my coat on throughout the meal. From my seat I could see straight into the kitchen, and the staff there looked very unorganised, which didn’t give me much confidence in the food being prepared. We ordered the hot meze, which was a very small portion for two people considering the price, and the bread that came with it was burnt. For our main, we had the mixed grill. We were told it was meant for four people, but it was barely enough for two — definitely not worth the cost. To make things worse, the staff felt inattentive and quite ignorant. It was so cramped that one of the workers knocked items off our table and didn’t even acknowledge it, just walked on without a word. Overall, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. We won’t be returning and certainly wouldn’t recommend it.
We came in for an impromptu dinner this evening to pass some time whilst our daughter was attending a group over the road. We are so pleased that we did! Warm welcome when we arrived and the food was incredible! We had the cold mixed meze for starters, my husband had a mixed grill and I had a whole sea bream- seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection. We will return for sure!
My favourite Turkish restaurant in Norwich. Chicken kebab is the best. Infinite salad is brilliant for us rare people who eat vegetables. Blonde waitress is always so friendly and helpful which makes a massive difference. Other staff are friendly too. Unlike their competitors they realise that Norwich is significantly colder than Istanbul and have created a cosy vibe.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the restaurant, as it had a very pleasant atmosphere. The waitress was exceptionally friendly, offering helpful suggestions on menu items and allowing us to sample the wine before making a selection. The food was also delicious. I would highly recommend it.
Friendly staff, polite. Lovely atmosphere, did feel rushed, also liked the fact staff left to eat your meal, without coming over every 5 mins asking if everything okay. Food was great and nice and hot, lovely presentation and great value for money. Highly recommended 10/10
Wow I have absolutely nothing but amazing things to say about this place. Very clean, good ambiance, friendly staff, and most important.. delicious melt in your mouth food. I could not believe the level of flavors. The amount of food for £ is impressive. We shared the lamb & chicken dish. The bread is spectacular. Already cannot wait until we return!
The King Prawn Starter is absolutely delicious, followed by the Mix Grill for one, well cooked and sauces are very nice, they taste home made, it’s a family run business and it shows that they care about there customers. Very good value for what you pay. Excellent
5+⭐food is so delicious, servise brilliant, staff very care and kind, been made sure are we have everything we need.. Me and my beloved leave this place with full tummies :))) portions is big and prices is reasonable:)) thank you Mr Mangal for warm welcome,, we definitely will be back:))
