   We had a really fantastic Christmas meal with our car club here on Saturday evening. Excellent food, very generous portions, exceptionally friendly and attentive staff. 24 meals served piping hot with a flourish, no waiting or delays, food intolerances professionally catered for. And all at a very fair price in a beautifully decorated room. Absolutely delighted, we will certainly return. Thank you all so much.

   Popped in for a Sunday roast. It was very busy, which is a recommendation in itself. I had the chicken and was pleasantly surprised when a large sausage wrapped in bacon was served with it. Generous portions. Very tasty. Wouldn't hesitate to return. Barman highly professional and polite, even though he was ran off his feet at times. All staff were smiling and friendly. Deserves the five stars

   We did ring 3 times and went to voice mail, decided to risk it and come anyway but lots of tables. Food was a good price but the pizza was lacking in taste. Not sure if it was pizza base was exactly fresh and lacked the prosciutto (spotted 3 pieces). The cheesy garlic fries were great.

   We enjoyed a lovely meal at The Spur, Slindon. I chose the chicken & ham pie which came with a good selection of vegetables. The pie was lovely & served with dauphinoise potatoes. My son went for the Spur Burger which he also thoroughly enjoyed. I couldn't resist the white chocolate & almond cheesecake with black cherries.

   Country pub vibes with nice atmosphere. Lots of seating inside and out. Food was good but could do with more vegan options. Facilities were good but no hand towels in the bathroom. Staff were good and attentive to the table, I would advise booking, we went on a Wednesday and it was fairly busy at lunch time

   Cracking pub! Traditional home cooked food and really welcoming staff. We wanted a nice pub lunch on a Monday, and The Spur serves 7 days a week (12-3) for lunch on Monday. The menu is wide and everything looks tasty, plus a great range of proper British puddings. We had pies and they were amazing, full of meat and really tasty, also love getting a plate of veg and full jug of gravy with a pie. The place is very big, lots of room to eat comfortably, very friendly staff, and a decent range of beer. You will not be disappointed if you come here

   Friendly pub, 3 good ales and excellent food. Tables in and out with good shade. Pleasant gardens. A very good drop off or place to go for a meal. Old building looked interesting but I did not have time to investigate it.

   Nice Country Pub with fairly large pub courtyard garden. It also has a traditional skittles alley in a separate building you can book for private events. There is a large car park to the right of the main building plus lots of on road parking to the front. Building itself was nice and clean, and the toilets were also very tidy although the gents ran out of paper towels during the afternoon I was there I was part of a group having a skittles and BBQ event and all the food was precooked (presumably in main kitchen) and so no danger of food poisoning, and then kept warm on a gas BBQ in the courtyard garden. The salad was much more than a few bits of green and had hot boiled potatoes, rice and pasta all looking very fresh and appetising. Friendly, enjoyable afternoon with no complaint. Will go again.

   Best food we've had in ages!! Everything fresh and home made.The pies and chunky chips are delicious and the icecream so worth tryimg! welcoming friendly staff . Cosy atmosphere. Dog friendly.
