Nice dining area. A little loud due to being busy at lunch time. Staff ok, but not able to offer options based on your individual needs. Food tasted lovely (vegan menu) but a little overpriced in my opinion. Dessert was tiny, but again tasted lovely.

We recently had my Mother in law's wake at the Saracen's Head. The venue and food were really good. We also had a smaller room to ourselves, which was perfect for a small gathering. I've marked the service down slightly, as we had an email stating the food would be ready for 12 (we had arranged 11) and despite ringing to reiterate this, the drinks were not ready on arrival, as the staff thought it was booked for 12. Despite this, the function went extremely well and the staff were lovely - special thanks to Nicky and Scarlett. I would recommend this venue and we would use again.

We visited The Saracens Head in Stafford for Sunday lunch as a couple and had a really enjoyable experience. Service: Friendly and attentive. The manager personally took our order to accommodate a nut allergy, which was reassuring. Venue: A lovely country pub with fresh, clean dΓ©cor and cosy log fires. Thereβs plenty of space between tables to allow for comfort and conversation. Both the back room and the Llama Lounge offer beautiful countryside views. Food: We had the turkey and beef roasts. The meat was tender, full of flavour, and well-portioned. Yorkshire puddings were large and fresh, while the gravy generous and thick. The plate of fresh sharing vegetables was nice, though more spring-style (mange tout, baby corn, carrot) than wintery β I would have preferred seasonal veg for the time of year. The roasted parsnips and carrots presented on the plate could have been served in slightly larger portions to offer better value. The roast potatoes were large with a thick skin; personally, Iβd prefer them crispier with a fluffy centre, but thats preference. Desserts looked delicious, but we were too full to try them β next time! Overall: A really pleasant visit. Weβd happily return to try the grill nights and are looking forward to making use of the garden for summer drinks next year.

A lovely place. Great food and some really friendly staff and some really miserable staff. Rooms clean and nice, a bit noisy from the road or the kitchen fans depending on which room you sleep in. Breakfast is included and absolutely lovely and fresh. I would recommend staying here if you are in the area. One down side (be warned) the bar closes at 10.30 if not earlier depending on how bust they are. On the second night we loaded up and there was no issues in sitting there untill way past eleven and we had finished.

Here for a course for 2 nights just 2 miles away from here, so for me the location was excellent and also quiet for me to relax and study. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food in the pub is excellent, dare I say some of the best pub food I have ever had. Rooms are very comfortable and relaxing with some lovely extra touches. Excellent beer garden and choice of beers. Really impressed and would love to come back.

Good meal but I wasn't happy that they automatically added a service charge. It's up to me to decide if the service is worthy of a tip. I don't go to sainsburys and get charged extra at the checkout for shelf stacking. The service was good and they would have got a tip anyway, just the principal of it all. We are not America.

Brilliant, friendly service. The most delicious food, beautifully presented. Perfect proportions... It is lovely to leave the table feeling satisfied rather than like a barrage balloon! We have eaten here in the past and enjoyed it. We'll be back again when passing through on the canal that is nearby.

Good, lovely venue, great staff. We were served by no less than 5 members staff during our meal! Very busy for a Wednesday night but well managed. They offer a deal on Grills but we went off the main menu. I had the Tandoori Duck Salad which was nice, a very good portion. My partner had the Soy and Ginger Pork which was lovely. We've had Sunday lunch here which was brilliant.
