This business is under a new ownership, so don't expect the old Dharma with great specialty coffee and amazing cakes, otherwise you'll be disappointed. This is just another friendly cafe, fairly cheap, with basic coffee and cakes. No speciality coffee like single estate V60. I would prefer Google to reset the reviews when the business is sold, though I'm not sure how when the business name remains the same and some old photos are kept, including on the website. Maybe the ex-owners (I'm told they moved to the US) allowed the new owners to keep the name (for a fee?). This is quite misleading. In the future I'll always check recent reviews to avoid being disappointed.

Not an ideal experience at Dharma. One of their first images/video on Maps is of pour over coffee, and they list themselves as serving pour over on European Coffee Trip... I arrived and asked if they did pour over and the barista said no. I ordered a Latte instead, and a cinnamon swirl. The latte wasn't 'bad', but it wasn't good either - it wasn't sour or astringent, but it lacked any real flavour and the milk wasn't smooth and silky like the best latte's are. It was just fine. The cinnamon swirl was warmed in a microwave, and tasted good. We did see another customer, who ordered a croissant, ask for a fresh one after taking a bite because "this one is hard and stale". Wouldn't recommend coming here if you want pour over, as they don't serve it!

Lovely cafe close to the seaside of Brighton! The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the service is very quick. The cafe itself is very clean and well kept. I tried their iced matcha as it was advertised outside on a placard, and it didn’t disappoint!- not too bitter, not too sweet. I also tried the pistachio croissant which tasted very fresh and had a decent amount of filling! Overall great cafe!

Where do I even begin? I hosted my regular group meet-up here last Saturday evening, and it was absolutely delightful! The set price made everything so smooth no fussing over the final bill, just pure enjoyment. The freshly prepared Mediterranean dishes paired with delicious wine were exactly what the doctor ordered. An unforgettable evening with my girls. I’ll definitely be back thank you for a beautiful experience!

Another great cafe in Brighton with its own personal twist. Dharma is a great place to work or meet friends, with a friendly and warm atmosphere, where staff seem so relaxed and honest. The food was the highlight of my visit, with a really nice shakshouka, seemingly far more traditional than you get at most brunch places nowadays - cheesy, slightly spiced and all mixed together. It was delicious. The coffee was good too, though maybe fell a little short of my expectations. All in all, Dharma coffee is a unique cafe that is worth a visit if you want a brunch menu that’s a little something different, Turkish inspired, and great service!

I really look forward to coming to Dharma, It's become my local coffee spot. Friendly staff, amazing selection of cakes and pastries. (The flowerless Almond cake is my favourite!) Delicate Turkish coffee cups! I think there's something so special and different about this little gem. Nothing else like it in Richmond!

Can definitely see why this place has top reviews. Staff really took care in making the coffee. I saw they slightly overfilled another customer's coffee and they decided to pour it away and remake it. We had a few of the bakery goods which were OK, but definitely the highlight is the coffee here. Flavourful coffee with nice depth. We tried a few other top coffee places nearby and felt Dharma was the best of the lot!

Best coffee in Britain, maybe the world! Me and my wife have been coming here multiple times a week with our dog since it opened. These folks care about coffee and it shows. Straight up delicious. Not to mention that all the staff are delightful. They remember our order and ensure our dog gets a treat every time. We are now moving town and will reluctantly need to find a Dharma replacement. I'm sure that doesn't exist :( MUST VISIT!!!

As a coffee lover, for me this is one of the best places that has a good combination of good coffee and venue. What make this place even great is another combination of fantastic customer service and a highly passionate, knowledgeable and experience baristas who can make a stunning cup of coffee. Since they have opened they have been bringing coffees from different well-known speciality coffee roasters in the UK and around the world.
