   We use this Costa almost every weekend. In the last few months it's been going more and more downhill. There's a leak from the upstairs which is getting bigger and bigger and has never been fixed or even painted over. There's been lots of new staff members and it's really hit and miss what kind of service you are going to get. Finally the toilets tend to be mostly in a state: there hasn't been handsoap for months, just bottles of gross smelling alcohol gel, which are often dirty (no sure how that happens), no toilet paper, poor cleanliness etc...

   One of the staff was very rude. When I ordered, he asked me where I was from, and when I gave him cash, he asked another staff member to check if my cash was fake. The way he talked was uncomfortable. I have never encountered anything like this before in the UK. After ordering a crossiant and paying for it, he didn't give it to me right away, instead serving the next customer. I don't understand. Couldn't be worse.

   Smile wouldn’t hurt! with all the independents in Brighton you’d think try harder, still outside seating nice albeit on a slope.

   always busy. quite noisy mechines behind counter staff makes ordering difficult to know if you've been heard and acknowledged. even so one staffer 26.11.18 at 13:29 had said 'He' heard me twice, chose not to repeat the order so my 1/2 shot latte medio came as hot milk with only a drizzle of coffee on top. He might have thought his joke was funny but this reviewer hadn't!
