This pub appears to have closed. I've visited a few times in the last few months and it’s not been open.

Everything is lovely in the Bugle, my only slight moan is the cleaners left the bottle of cleaning spray out. It's not a good thing to look at while waiting for drinks or food. Minor but annoying

A hidden gem: a truly old-school pub. Live music and good beer.

I feel the sign found in this establishment says it better than me. I thank the landlord and the two lovely ladies last night. Not sure if the pub serves food but there was plenty of booze and nonesense available and I loved it. They must have done a good job as I'm still merry the afternoon after

Well this is a great little traditional back street pub..it used to have an Irish theme going but is more varied now. I must say that I can't give it more than 4 stars as it does have a few little issues. On the plus side it the old traditional pub that most people are looking for, the prices are average for the area. The bar staff are the key part and are always attentive and friendly. On the negative is that it's a bit tired and could do with a refit. The wines are cheap and not worth trying but it does have a good selection of gins, WiFi that is intermittent. and so is the heating in the winter. It can be quite some days but loud on the others. Overall, a pub worth visiting if you like the traditional style and are in the area. Worth a visit: yes Tuesday nights: cheap drinks and great live music. But overall, tired and needs a good refit.

A great back street local. Little changed over the years. Popular with the local community and definitely not trendy which is a good thing for a pub that wants to be a traditional local. A minus is that it only serves instant coffee, does sell tea though which pleased one member of our group.
