First time visiting and I was really impressed. The roast was delicious, and the crumble was honestly the best I’ve had since my mum’s! Great atmosphere, lovely staff and excellent service throughout. The music and overall vibe made it a perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon. I’ll definitely be back.

Less quirky than the others the Lewes road Inn That used to be the 'Franklin' if you've got a sweet tooth two for one desserts on a Tuesday! No photos too good mmmm!

Really nice place to have a drink and also a very exciting pub quiz on Tuesdays. Most of the drinks are reasonably priced however I was a little disappointed with the mocktail priced at £5 as I found it to be extremely watered down with it mainly being comprised of water and ice. This can be seen in the faint colour of the drink however the atmosphere and service is great!

Went here for a roast today as their mid-week food is also pretty good, and I was not disappointed! I don't say this lightly, but it was the best pork belly crackling I have ever eaten! There was a good amount of gravy, unlike a lot of places that give you a tiny amount that leaves you wanting more. I'm not a fan of the roasted beetroot, but my friend did love it. Only downfall is that toward the end of our roast a live band started (they were actually pretty good) but there wasn't any warning that one would be playing on the website and it felt a bit much for a roast. Not only that, but where we were sat, they still had the usual pub music playing so we could hear two types of music at the same time, which wasn't great. The pub itself is set up nicely, has a nice atmosphere and looks good. Lots of cool decor and a full rota of food and events throughout the week.

In Brighton for work and came here for something to eat. It was relatively early so we were seated straight away. Staff very friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our drinks order to be taken and then delivered to the table. We were give plenty of time to look at the menu and when we finally decided what to have the order was taken and again served to us without too much of a wait. The food - cannelloni for my friend and gamberoni for me - was delicious, really tasty. Overall a pleasant visit, definitely recommended.

I had a meal here which was ok I choose duck and plum sauce and it was not really to my liking. I did get offered to have something else so the service is good overall. It was not too busy and there were a lots it waiters. I had a sweet which was nice to have small sweets of different flavours of cheesecake Overall the visit was reasonable

First of all the restaurant itself was nice and the service was good. But the food was not good. I had a steak and it tasted a bit sour. The little salad with it (see picture) was very poor display. The pasta wasn't even good and they call themself Italian restaurant. Only good thing for me was the beer and the strawberry cheesecake.

Second time having a Sunday roast there. Duck leg was delicious. Potatoes could of been done a little longer as a couple were a little hard in the middle. Cheesy leeks were perfect. Portions massive.

Very good pub to have as a local. It offers both students and oldsters a good mix of food, booze and entertainment. First Sunday of the month is a blues jam session. Turn up with your guitar and join in.
