Pub has gone down hill, rude and and very unwelcoming. New bar maid who is very rude - red hair, young (18?), white and skinny. She actively showed a dislike, disdain and unwelcoming for her customers, hard to pick specifically but the vibe of the pub felt tense - we are deeply sadden by changes of this pub, One customer she particularly picked on even had deescalate themselves as the bar maid actively picked a argument with customer. This was all during my 2 hours i sat in pub, we left.
Lovely little boozer near the station. Appears to be family run, and not part of the Laine pubco that has colonised Brighton. Cosy, quaint and a perfect place to have a few beers.
Cracking pub, with a well kept selection of beers. Perhaps a little TLC required, but a bit of a hidden gem.
The Sunday roast is back and it was fantastic. You'd be proud to do as well at home. We had the lamb and the pork. Proper quality meat, loads of veg. Smaller portions available. Piping hot! Very reasonably priced.
Great traditional pub near Brighton station but far enough off the beaten track to remain special. Great range of drinks, fantastic beer garden and a warm welcome is what to expect here
Excellent coffee and traditional British food. Right next to the train station. Won't miss it next time I travel to Brighton!
This pub has not changed since the 80s and it's all the better for it. Great beer,great food.
We booked at 14:30 for a Sunday roast the day before. On the day they informed us that there was only beef Sunday roast left (at 14:30). We ordered 4. It took more than 30 minutes to arrive and when it did it was uncooked. They meat was red inside ( I do like blue and rare meat, but this was too much). We raised this with them and cooked all our roasted a bit more. Also the quantity was not great, specially the potatoes, that were 2 small pieces. Maybe just was the day, but the experience was not good at all. The Sunday roast was tasty nevertheless, even though the could put more meat and potatoes.
Lovely staff, great atmosphere and delicious food - veggie nachos, salad, hummus and pitta and the best skinny fries. Pub was packed and vibrant, with friends chatting and enjoying company
