Lovely pub and even lovelier staff! I come here regularly for a post-match (tag rugby) social (drink and sometimes food). Top food recommendation (new menu on website) is the katsu chicken fries and their desserts are also delicious. The recent renovation has also made the place feel more cosy and inviting. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to be social, screens to get a good view of a match and a pool table at the back for anyone keen. Highly recommended (from a happy regular)!

Lovely refurb of the Palmiera! Lovely and fresh with some nice arty touches. Great deals for for food and drinks. Free pool on Tuesdays and lots of sport available. Fun for kids and a great spacey garden space out back too. Lovely friendly staff !

The Palmeira has just been refurbished, and the decor is beautiful. It was so warm and welcoming. The menu has so many options. Loaded fries were very tasty. Honey chicken burger was delicious, and the side sauce complimented the sweet savoury flavours. Richard and his team have done a fabulous job. Highly recommend a pop in.

Friendly staff and good live music. A bit out of town but I like to stop here for a drink on the way home from work and have a dance. The supervisor, I think his name was Mark, was friendly and accommodating. Will visit again.

Great vibe, pool table great staff, food is not bad either. Ideal for watching sports events as they have a big projector screen. Book before you get there as they can get quite busy.

Great family pub with a mix of all ages welcome. Accommodating & welcoming staff with a variety of sport always on offer and lots of great drink and food selections / deals. Big pub with all the necessities such as a pool table & dart board along with a lovely beer garden to the rear. All round fantastic pub and would recommend to anyone.

The pub looks nice from outside. It was a reasonable experience. On the positive: the food and drink are reasonably priced and quite good. Portion size a bit too small, but other than that, it was quite nice. A very basic meal though & expensive for what it was. On the negative: the toilets had no toilet paper & a broken toilet seat. This is very embarrassing to smell horrid because of this basic oversight. When I asked for a second drink, the bar man was rude: there was no smile, no hello. And he added a piece of orange to the drink without asking, & made out he had done something amazing for me. But it is something for everyone done as standard. Then the bar had spilt beer on a menu that just sat there whilst another member of staff was looking at their phone. And as usual, sticky and dirty tables and bar. Generally, the pub was not clean and the tables sticky - not the worst, but not that nice anyhow! Chairs were uncomfortable as well. Apart from that, 2/10. They need to do a lot to get me or my colleagues back in!

Nice pub and great atmosphere. The Sunday roast wasn't the best in town but good value for money. Really lovely place for food and drinks.
