We held our staff Christmas party at The Brunswick this year. Having an escape room (Bewilder Box) above the pub meant we could do a fun team building activity then head downstairs for our meal - it definitely made the planning easier for me! The meal was great with very generous portions and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Fantastic Grassroots venue. We attended here to watch a gig. (Ex-Generation X) Great little room downstairs which provides an incredible space and sound for an intimate gig. The pub house ale was great , and there seemed to be a jazz club that was just finishing up in one of the other rooms. This is a place that is really keeping small venues and gigs alive. The gig list is extensive and varied. The staff were also brilliant.
I recently visited the Brunswick Pub with some friends to celebrate my birthday, and we had a fantastic time in their escape room. The escape room itself was brilliant and really enjoyable, and we all loved solving the puzzles. However, I did want to mention that the welcome we received at the pub itself was less than ideal. One staff member from the pub was not very welcoming and didn’t provide any information about the escape room, which made the start of our visit a bit awkward. This was noticeable to all of us, and we felt that a friendlier approach would have made a big difference. That said, the escape room experience was the highlight of our visit, and we truly enjoyed it. I just hope that in the future, the pub staff can offer the same warmth and enthusiasm as the escape room team (Dr Jitter was fantastic).
This is a great local venue for great music, with a good selection of local beers on offer. The events diary keeps you coming back. The food is great and compared to other pubs in Hove….Its great value. The team there are lovely people, very welcoming. Any day of the week, it well worth stopping by to check it out.
Great selection of beers, check the chalkboards above the bar. Drinks are very reasonably priced! Staff are super friendly and the pub is home to a great escape room! The play list was also pretty great!
I would never have met this wonderful pub if I hadn't been told about it by a local. The jass session on the stage on Tuesday is a memory for life and best before a peaceful night's sleep.
Amazing live music selection. Great beers available. For a pub deep in Hove but close to the sea front it's a bit of a find. Good food but I'm informed not tried. Great pub.
Having visited the first time for a gig, I was pleasantly impressed. Great backroom venue for music, good beer available in the main bar, and the food my friend had looked lovely, especially the chips I stole from him! Staff were really nice as well. All in all, a great vibe and nice experience.
