Really bad attitude of service staff member, younger man. He was amazingly rude! Offhand, dismissive and arrogant. He went above and beyond to not give a toss. Won’t be back, there are plenty of other places in kemptown.

Went here for brunch the other day. Menu looked decent, not too expensive and the place had a cool vibe with it also being an antique/vintage shop. However the experience was ruined by the poor service bitter, watery coffee and bad attitude of management. We had to remind our server multiple times for certain items, with them just being left on the counter and forgotten about until I physically got up and went in to ask for them. Ordered a black coffee which was not drinkable. When I went to pay the bill I politely informed the FOH that the coffee was very poor and instead of apologising the manager decided to gaslight me and say that “it’s been fine all morning and we have all been drinking it.” I’ve worked as a barista for 10+ years. The coffee was weak, under-extracted and tasted awful. Wouldn’t recommend this place. Food was average, service was poor and the coffee was terrible.

45mins wait for a very hard in the middle jacket potato and measly portion of beans.Garnish was a piece of lettuce. How did it take 45 mins to whack that in the microwave.. After my complaint they made me another one which was just as bad as the first! Quite pricey to especially for the small portion.

I’d love to shop here more often but the overpowering stench of bacon from the cafe puts me off from going any further inside. As a non meat eater I don’t want to buy clothes or furniture that smells of dead pig.

Worth dropping in for the eclectic mix of wonderful objects and a popular cafe. Great coffee, tea, and cakes. Simple menu. Easy access. Friendly staff. Outside seating.

Blown away. Beautiful food, very well priced, but the coffee was just extraordinary. Lovely blend and roasted just so. Additionally lovely decor, friendly staff, Cassette Lord on the walls... this may have become my favourite café in Brighton.
