I can't help with the end game of this review as I bought a gift voucher. However, the process of doing this was extremely efficient and I know that the recipient of this gift is a fan of this Cellar.
Dropped in to Butlers on the sudden urge to check out wine options for a gift. Had a good browse and was given space to do so before being offered assistance. Very friendly and knowledgeable member of staff discussed with me my requirements and provided me with sound advice. Whilst the specific wine I was most likely to consider was not currently in stock I was assured that this would be coming in and was offered the chance to leave my details to be contacted as and when it arrived. I did also purchase a jolly nice bottle for myself as it had been discussed and recommended during our chat. Would recommend this excellent store to those seeking quality products at a fair price and great service
When we moved to Brighton in 1981 Henry was probably in short trousers (short trousers) and 'B C' meant 'Before Cassie'...my wife Cookie and I were frequent visitors thus fans of Butlers Wine Cellar in its original home in Queens Park Road run by Henry's Mum and Dad Gillian and Geoffrey. So when Butlers opened their new shop in Kemptowwn, was it a coincidence we also then moved to Kemptown? Put simply, when you find a diamond you cherish it and keep it close to youself for safekeeping...but in the case of Butlers Wine Cellar you want to let everyone know how very special a diamond Butlers Wine Cellar really is. The friendly staff are uber knowledgable and sincerely enjoy guiding you to whatever they perceive to be the right choice for your palate...and wallet! Quite a talent as there is always a myriad of wines and spirits to choose from. I raise my glass to Butlers...as I have sooo many times in the last 44 years. Cheers Tom Cotcher
These are quality wines at competitive prices. The website is nicely illustrated and easy to use. The write-ups are useful - and accurate, at least for my tastes! The communications by email were efficient and friendly. My order was dispatched and received very rapidly. The wine was well-packaged and in good condition. They made this a pleasant interaction not a mere transaction. Recommended.
While we are in the US, we have friends in the UK and Butlers helps us get our Christmas shopping and shipping done quickly and easily. They are super helpful and have a great selection. We will use them for all our holiday needs.
Went to the shop to ask advice about choosing a special wine for a present. The assistant was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The bottle he recommended was excellent - I will certainly be a regular customer in future

I’ve been a Butler’s customer for over 30 years, no, really I have. Knowledgeable staff, great recommendations and great wines whatever your price point. Independents are the lifeblood of a diverse community. Get in there :)
Absolutely fantastic wine shop, whatever your budget! Such a amazing range of wines (and beer/sprits if that’s your bag!) and really helpful advice from super knowledgeable (and not at all patronising!!) staff. Also do hone deliveries that arrive (scarily!) quickly! I’d give them 6 stars if I could!
