BIBA.... Iconic fashion designer Barbara Hulanicki founded this company and name in the early 1960s. Her store was in High st Kensington and was well known for its dark atmospheric art deco rooms where you could choose your black tulip lipstick to organic oatmeal soap, not to mention the clothes that were a lifestyle, not fashion. Just heard that H of Fraser is discontinuing the BIBA collection sometime soon, so sad. In a world where fashion is dictated by celebrities and everyone flocks to buy it, anyone who wears BIBA stands out from the crowd.. nuff said.
