I have stayed at this hotel many times and I have always enjoyed my stays. Rooms are what I would expect for a 3* hotel, very comfortable beds, and they have always been clean. What I especially like is the location, which is right in the centre of Brighton, and the staff. My friends and I are members of the trans community, and we are always made to feel extremely welcome, with the staff making Premier Inn a truly inclusive business and a place I want to return too.

Rooms look tidy but not cleaned very well. Apart from that, the location and service was perfect for us. Right in the city centre and alot quieter than expected. Marco at reception was really helpful with check in and made it easy. Lastly, the price for a place to stay the night was really good.

After reading the reviews about this hotel we thought it couldn't be this bad, it's premier inn, but it was the worst one we've stayed at by a long way. We are arrived at 2.55 to be told we couldn't check in and to wait over there with everyone else. We then had the farcical nonsense of him checking all our names off, for what seemed to be no reason at all. At bang on 3 he then called us forward a couple at a time to check in on the screens. What difference did that 5 minutes make exactly? We went up to the room and on entering the damp smell hit us straightaway, it was horrible. Big damp area under the window. We thought we'd open the window to air it, no. Everywhere else you can at least open it and inch or so but these were all completely shut. One of the pillows didn't have a pillowcase. The bathroom was at least clean and the shower good, but the windows were then swimming in condensation so you could see why they have a damp issue, you need ventilation for goodness sake! My husband didn't sleep well at all, and I was awoken by the delightful sound of the glass collection lorry at 06.15 on Sunday morning. The curtains didn't close properly so that'll be fun in the summer if you want a lay in. Terrible preparation for the running event we were here for. As frequent Premier Inn customers really disappointed that they have lowered their standards so much, especially for the price, and I'd never stay at this one again.

Lovely, clean and spacious room. No problems found with the hotel apart from the restaurant toilets. Staff very friendly and helpful. Ideal location for the centre of Brighton, with little noise. If using the car park, ensure you get the code from reception. It took the cost of parking for 48 hours, down from £63 to £28! I would stay again

Bed comfortable, great location, but so much mould in the bathroom and around the windows. Bad enough to catch in the back of my throat. Got a partial refund but would not recommend this premier inn. Nothing like their usual standard/more modern hotels.

Whole place has a distinctly damp and unclean feel from the moment you walk through the doors. Room was a good size, but the standard of cleanliness was nowhere near to what you’d expect from a reputable chain hotel. A real shame as I’ve never had a problem with any other Premier Inn I’ve stayed at. This place though needs a complete refurb. Avoid it if you can.

Location is the only positive thing I can say. We booked a twin room. Apparently, twin means a double bed and a child's sofa bed. Went to raise this issue with the front desk who said there was nothing they could do. When I asked to speak to the manager the girl looked around at the other reception lady and then I formed me she was probably the manager and said she could not help me. When returned to the room found stray hairs in the bed and mould and stains all over the pillows. Returned to reception to complain. No apology given just new pillow brought to the room. Room smelt damp and mouldy. Bathroom covered in mould. Main entrance and public areas dirty. Worst Ptemier Inn I have ever stayed in. Asked several times for an email to complain to but no-one could give it to me. Eventually after asking 5 different people where I could complain, was given a scrap of paper with a contact number. At no point did anyone say sorry. Shocking service, unclean and staff that just don't care. AVOID STAYING HERE AT ALL COSTS
