It's a nice spot and close to everything! Everything was ok in principle, but docking a few points for the following things based on my preferences: - I absolutely hate electric showers - The room wad just a tad cold! - The lockers are really small, so anyone with a decently sized backpack is going to have a hard time with that.

BED BUGS! I stayed at the Seadragon hostel for only one night in August, and the next evening I was covered in bed bug bites. They were swollen and painful and took weeks to go down (I still have skin discolouration weeks later). The reaction was bad as it is my first time experiencing bed bug bites. I contacted the hostel straight away to let them know, and an employee named John said he would check the room. Although he said he saw no bugs, he did confirm he found signs of an infestation. I contacted them again to ask whether they can confirm a fumigation had taken place. John told me fumigators had visited and had found no signs, which contradicts his first email to me. When I asked for proof from the fumigators of their visit, they ignored my calls and emails for 10 days. I asked which company they used for the inspection and they ignored me entirely. I assume they are lying about this visit or about the outcome of the inspection. I never stay away overnight, this was a rare occasion that I enormously regret. There is no chance I picked up the bed bug bites anywhere else, and signs since that night that I have a minor infestation in my own home indicate I picked them up that night. The staff at this hostel have been dishonest and avoidant towards me rather than helpful. I am a fair and honest person and have given them ample time to contact me, and I also understand that these things can happen, but as they are trying to evade responsibility I recommend they be avoided by other guests.

I spent two nights here and it was lovely. The check in and out process is great as it’s all codes, no keys. The location is 10/10, right up from the beach. The rooms are lovely and small and the beds are comfortable. I stayed in the female only dorm and it had hair straighteners and dryers, very thoughtful. The bathrooms are clean, only thing is the shower isn’t very warm but would 100% stay here again!

The treatment of the staff was very good, I had some problem regarding the reservation and John personally helped me through mail to solve the problem. When we arrived at the hostel everything was super good, the room was very good. The only thing was not very good was the floor and some hole in the wall but for the rest everything was fine. The kitchen is perfect, however I didn’t use it. The location is amazing, you can get to the city center in 15 minutes by foot. Thanks John

Really great hostel. Friendly and helpful staff and the room I was in was clean and comfortable. I appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was and the appliances were really good quality too. The only downsides are: 1. the damp smell in the kitchen but when the doors are all open it is less apparent 2. it was surprisingly hot during my stay and the room only had a fan to cool it down. But I guess it’s a rare occurrence that it’s actually hot in England! Besides from that, it is a really great place to stay & I would definitely stay again. Thanks!

The stay was amazing, the view was spectacular, the breakfast complimentary. The showers are great and the host is involved with keeping the hostel in tip top shape. I would not stay at another hostel.

The owner is super nice and shows you around, the rooms are big and have everything you might need. Beds very very comfortable. Big kitchen full of utensils and fridge space, great for longer stays Recommend and well worth the money!

I had such a lovely stay here in a 4 bed, all female dorm room. The place doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the vibe inside is cozy and welcoming. Self serve breakfast is included, meaning you can cook your own eggs, toast or porridge. Coffee, tea and milk included all hours. Nice details like phone chargers in the lobby for emergency. Our room was bright and cozy and I was drawn to sit at the bay in the window and read for a while.

Great value and perfect location. I stayed with a friend so we had a private room and then shared a bathroom. Complimentary breakfast and kitchen for cooking. But the highlight was the staff as they put so much effort into being friendly and giving you things to do, places to eat and helping you anyway they can. Great stay.
