   We ordered a reclining sofa and two armchairs on 25/8. The sofa and one chair arrived on 30/10. We finally received the second chair six days before Christmas, after weeks of vague delay. Very disappointed with customer service. We were always doing the chasing. And we’d paid in full in August, no talk of a refund or any compensation. Certainly wouldn’t go back to Aldiss.

   We have been looking for a large, blue rug, or 2. Aldiss did not come up in my Internet search. However, on the off chance we visited. They have more beautiful rugs in many sizes than in all the other shops we have visited put together. We bought 2, got some vouchers, which we spent upstairs on a Christmas present. Parked right outside, very helpful and pleasant staff. We will return.

   Wa made our first ever purchases from Aldiss a few months ago. We found the store staff very pleasant and helpful. When our sofas arrived we were very pleased with them but later found a problem with one of the buttons. From contacting Aldiss it took only two working days to have it repaired expertly at home. We are extremely impressed with the service provided.

   Lovely large shop buy everything you could ever want. Staff are the best, always happy and smiling and extremely helpful nothing is too much trouble. Instore cafe has a good selection to choose from and is usually busy. Well worth a visit to this store.

   Love the customer service here - even for the smallest never pushy, just helpful. Great offers on Christy towels and kitchen gadgets this week. Went in for a 30cm frying pan but the max size was 28cm. Spotted a large Tower pressure cooker near the pans that was cheaper than on Amazon - buy local! Have bought rugs and furniture over the years, always great quality and VFM. Keep it up Aldiss!!

   Very good store and helpful, friendly staff. I had coffee and a huge scone in the cafe. It was very busy at the time but it's such good value that it's not surprising. They could do with a few more tables but I didn't have to wait long for one to become free. Will definitely go there again.

   I was trying out a recliner I need ASAP. I wanted to sit there for 10 minutes to know it would be comfy. I loved it, it was the best chair I've ever sat on. A salesman came over and asked "do you need any help", I hate that, I'll come to you if I need you. But, I know it's their job so I reply "no thanks", smile and carry on sitting. He stands there staring at me, very awkwardly. He then starts talking more about the chair, I say nothing but "oh, okay" hoping he gets the hint. He doesn't, he lingers there like a foul smell making me more and more uncomfortable, so I get up and leave the store. It's a shame, I wanted that chair but it obviously wasn't meant to be. Reply Edit: Sorry but I'm not coming back. Even if I wanted to, I left and bought one from the next place

   Brilliant department store. We went to look at sofas but this place had so much more. We have listed a sofa that we like but the surprise was the utilities section. We bought a bread bin but had a good look round at the cutlery, crockery and kitchen utensils on sale. The coffee shop was lovely too. We enjoyed a latte, cappuccino and scone. Lovely friendly and helpful staff. We will go back.
