Avoid Scale not low enough - wish I could give a zero. I never leave reviews and my Google account is a work account - I created this account just to leave this review Me and a friend were planning to eat somewhere else tonight but passed by no32 this afternoon and thought it looked really cute and the menu looked great, we asked if we could book a table for dinner later and a lovely lady booked us in and said we would be at a booth, she even wrote the table number on the booking. When we arrived she wasn't there anymore and the staff had no idea about our booking, the person who greeted us at the door got his colleague to come over before seating us, and then the colleague asked a manager "if it was ok" to sit in the booth. Mind you the restaurant was almost empty and all the booths were empty. A group of girls came in a couple minutes behind us and saw the commotion, and asked if they were supposed to make a reservation as they didn't have one. They were seated at the booth behind us immediately and clearly friends with the waitress. Their drinks orders and appetisers were taken straight away and they had received and were eating their food - meanwhile no one had come over to us since we sat down. We waited 30 minutes before just walking out - no one had even taken our drinks orders yet, nobody came over to us in that entire time. Staff appeared to be standing around chatting with eachother. Our waitress was sitting at a table with some other people (not the girls from before), eating food when we walked out and we walked straight past her and she said nothing. None of the other staff even noticed we left. We couldn't believe how poor the service - or lack thereof - was, considering we had a reservation and the restaurant was empty, I couldn't comment on the food or drinks since we never got any but judging from a lot of the recent reviews it doesn't sound like we were missing out.

I visited Restaurant No. 32 in Brighton to celebrate my birthday, having booked through First Table, and the experience was excellent. The restaurant is beautifully presented, clean, stylish, and welcoming with soft background music that created a relaxed atmosphere. The service was outstanding. The staff were genuinely kind, attentive, and very helpful throughout the evening, which made the occasion feel special. The food was delicious. The roasted cauliflower was fresh and full of flavour, and the Korean fried chicken was perfectly cooked juicy and satisfying. The miso chicken was well seasoned, though slightly on the drier side. I also ordered a raspberry-based fruit cocktail (the name escapes me), which tasted wonderfully fresh, almost like a milkshake, and complemented the meal very well. Overall, a lovely dining experience with great food, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere. I would happily return.

Visited on Sunday 14th December 2025 at around 5.30pm and ended up waiting about 40 minutes for the drinks to be served and then a further 1hour for our food to come, the steak was not very hot and very chewy. The place was not very busy and the staff were struggling to cope the 2 waitresses Maxie and Mia were the only saving grace and tried their best to appease the situation. The resturant needs more staff both in the kitchen and in the resturant

I never write reviews, but this experience was genuinely shocking. The place was practically empty, yet we waited over an hour for our food—clearly they had forgotten our order. The tempura starter was an instant red flag: obviously frozen, dripping with oil, and nowhere near worth what they charge. Then came the £13 burger (without sides), which was honestly embarrassing. The bread tasted old, it was drowned in ketchup instead of any proper sauce, and it arrived cold. The photo says it all. Enough to look at the mayonnaise packets this place offers! We also ordered a £30 steak that was so tough it could’ve bounced off a wall. Calling it “rubbery” is being kind. When we raised this with the manager, he offered a half-hearted apology and nothing more. No accountability, no solution—just complete indifference. The sad part is the location is great and the atmosphere has potential. Our waitress Maxine was the only bright spot—she was excellent. But poor management is clearly dragging this place into the ground. Won’t be coming back, and definitely can’t recommend.

I have ordered sea bass, it was amazing, compliments to the chef. However, service was slow at the time I visited, and there wasn't many people indoors, the outdoor tables were definitely served quicker. Dog friendly only outside and didn't offer a bowl of water for the dog :/ one waiter who seated me was in the hurry, so didn't feel welcomed and another waiter really nice , perhaps I stopped by at the shift change at ~5pm

I came here as a birthday treat from my boyfriend. I had never attended here before and was a bit nervous if I was underdressed while wearing casual clothes. However to my surprise we were offered such a warm welcome by staff and has a nice choice of seating in a space upstairs at a small intimate table overlooking downstairs. We had a waitress called Emily, who I must say was one of the most attentive, polite, and courteous staff. I was so impressed by her recommendations in the menu and was very pleased with what I chose which was the pan fried cod with parsley sauce. It was cooked to perfection and the sauce was perfectly made and enough portion wise. My partner has the beer battered cod and chips. Which I also stole some of that too haha. Music was after about 9.30pm which I will happily join in another evening as the vibe was very chilled and classy. Another shout out to Emily!!!

The fish and chips is the best. The fish is fresh with soft taste. And the staff service is friendly Recommend to try!

Visited on a busy Saturday night and we were checked in, seated upstairs, served quickly. It’s lovely downstairs but upstairs is a little more dingy. The food took a long time to come but what arrived was well presented and tasty. Good looking menu. Waitresses were well dressed and attentive at all times, they were working hard. Overall it was a good experience and would come again!
