   I’ve used National Tyres in Northampton and on Ashburnham Road in Bedford for years, and although I can’t quite remember whether the Midland Road service centre was part of the same group before the 2021 Halfords takeover, what I can say is that the team here have always been excellent. The staff at Halfords Midland Road have consistently been professional, straightforward, and reliable. We don’t need to be friends — but what matters is great service, professionalism, and making customers want to return. This branch absolutely achieves that. It’s always been easy to drop the car off, and I’ve regularly had a call within an hour to say the work was completed. That level of efficiency really does make a difference. Thank you for the great service. Highly recommended.

   I drove in to have 4 tyres change and wheels alignment When I arrived therein the morning, a gentleman called Patrick ( the person at front desk ) ask for the keys and said it will take all day for my car to get ready. I told him that I need my car back by 14:30 and if he cannot finish the work by then i would prefer to book my car on a different day. He got frustrated and he took my car keys and said "I have to do the work by myself. leave it here and i will do it but i will not do any of the check" Very unprofessional and I have lost my trust straight away that he will do a profesional job. I left the garage very uncomfortable and worried about the work he will do to my car. When I return to collect my car he said he finish everything and my car is all good. When I asked for the wheel alignment report he hesitated a bit and said the printer it's not working. and if I do need one I need to re-book it in a different day. then I had that feeling straight away that he only replaced the tyres and did nothing else. I re-book the car for wheel alignment after 1 week and while i was waiting there to get it done an customer walked in crying about a bad experience she is having with the service provided by the garage. At that point we find out that the wheel balancing machine was not calibrated and all the customers who had tyres changed at the garage did not had a wheels balancing properly. the guys from the garage suggest that if i have any issues while driving at the high speed to take my car to halfords garage from Ashburnham road to have the wheels balanced again. I took my car away and go driving on motorway and found out that I had the stering wheel vibrating and not staying straight any more and my car was pulling on the left hand side. So frustrating and disappointing with the halfords garage from Midland road! The garage should never take on any works if they can't provide the service the customers paid for. They put at risk a lot of the people life's by providing unprofessional service. In the end I took my car to The garage from Ashburnham road and they finally fix my car. Again while i was waiting for my car 3+ customers walked in complaining about the garage from Midland road. One of the worst experience I had at any garage. I hope you take action about this matter and seriously consider to check this garage if is run properly.

   Appointment booked for 10am, but work didnt start until 10:30. Work took approx 1 hour to replace 4 tyres. In report i received it did not have the tread depths recorded of old tyres which would have been good to know. Also tyre pressures we all set at 39/40psi when they should be 42psi. Will probably book mobile fitting next time to save time.

   You guys are an absolute joke of a business, 1st saturday had MOT booked A MONTH in advance, turn up and apparently the MOT guy is off sick (you didn't think to call me and let me know), I was booked in a week later (which didn't work because my MOT ran out the following Tuesday). Following Saturday comes and I turn up, now apparently you don't do SUV 4x4 MOTs. HOW THE HELL DID YOU NOT KNOW THIS WHEN I MADE THE BOOKING OR THE WEEK BEFORE.

   Car booked for MOT and service. Drop off was quick and easy. I got a phone call a few hours later to go through works that were needed. Everything was explained clearly as to why and the cost was given. Another phone call later in the day to say that it was all done and ready to collect. Staff were very helpful and happily explained all of the work again to make sure I was happy when collecting the car. Can’t fault them as they keep you informed and are happy to go through anything with you.

   Approached these guys twice refarding my breaks because they were scraping. First time they said they were "fine" but also mentioned they didn't have the tools at had to take my wheel off to check them properly. I should have seen the red flags there. I went back a month later for my MOT and mentioned the breaks again because they were getting worse, to which again they said they were fine. At this point I didn't believe them at all. It had been well over a month now and I had asked them twice so I decided to get a second opinion at another mechanic...low and behold, the breaks are RUINED and ontop of that parts of the break system is broken completely due to them being used for so long. If Halfords has taken my word and actually checked them properly and not lying and saying they did check them when in probability they probably didn't want the hassle of having to take off my wheels, I wouldn't be in this predicament. Thanks for nothing.

   Took my car for free brake check. They quoted me £640 to replace front and back disks / pads. Rung around and found garage up road who do it for £340. Moral of story is these 'free' checks are just there to get you in the building and then quote ridiculous prices. Shop around!

   Extremely disappointed by this autocentre. I originally got a service done on my car at another garage, who advised about a suspension repair. I booked Halfords for a second opinion and asked for a suspension check, which all came out cleared and was assured there were no issues. Upon booking a MOT at this centre, they failed it based on a suspension repair and also said they don’t have any slots to do the repairs within the 10 business days deadline. I booked the repairs at a garage and took the taxi home just to find out they don’t have the right parts. Took the car to another garage for repairs (I’m 6 months pregnant and with a toddler). I waited over an hour after they thoroughly investigated and explained that Halfords has wrongfully failed the MOT and the car has no suspension issues. Furiously, I had to take it back to Halfords again where they rechecked and agreed. They refunded the MOT charges but really messed me about for a week and I’ve had to take the taxi home with my toddler each time the car had to be left for hours. I really didn’t understand why it was failed despite them having a record of no suspension problems. So I’d advise that you look at their MOT results more carefully and challenge it straightaway.

   Left car there for new tyres,and went for a walk in the rain expecting a usual delay and "found a problem mate" as is so normal at most garages. Not here. ,car was done before I had chance to sit down on return,all happy,tyres on, car ready ,no fuss and polite service....Will definitely go back,cheers.

   ONLINE CODES WOULD NOT WORK + TYRES ON OFFER TURNED OUT TO BE VERY MISLEADING AND WE'RE EAGLE ASYMMETRIC 3 AND NOT 5S + THEN THE PRICE PER TYRE WAS £50 MORE + ORDERED VIA BLACK CIRLES IN THE END AND GOT 4 PS4S £411 + VERY MISLEADING AND CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS SHOCKING + VERY DIRTY DIS ORGANISED GARAGE
