AVOID! They were quick to call and demand excess but incredibly slow to actually fix it. Communication was extremely poor—in fact, it was almost non-existent. The customer service was awful, and the quality control guy was rude and should never deal with customers again. Two weeks after the accident, I received a call saying my car was ready. I went to collect it, but didn’t even take the car off the yard—my 6-year-old cousin could’ve done a better job. After another two/three weeks, I got a call saying it was ready to collect, but two parts were missing and on backorder. So for an entire month, they didn’t know those parts were needed? I took the car elsewhere to check, and there were so many issues—extra scratches all over that weren’t there before and things they just didn’t bother to fix, my car was dirty, inside full of dust. I had to take it back to them. It took them almost another two months to “fix” it, and when I finally collected it, it was still a shambles. Now, my car is going back to a different repairer. In total, three months were wasted as this so-called repairer “tried” to fix a door and a quarter panel but failed miserably. There was absolutely no communication from them about what was being fixed or done. I had to chase them myself almost every time! Avoid this place at all costs!

They picked the car up from my house and dropped it back home again once fixed, so there was no inconvenience my end. They also offered me a company car to use. although the experience was less than desirable thanks to a deer, the team at steer have been great. slight communication issues in the beginning regarding wrong collection address however the team have been wonderful. any concerns I had were addressed in a timely manner and they understood what I needed. After the main repair some investigation work was needed for the air conditioning and it was dealt effectively and efficiently. Thank you :)

Used this service after a delivery driver hit my car in the carpark at work and they were amazing! They were so kind and helpful and kept me informed every step of the way. For instance, they moved the date of me dropping my car off as they didn’t have the part and they were so apologetic. When I did bring my car in the receptionists were so kind and helped me with my replacement car. My car was in for 5 days and they kept me informed as to the progress and when I could come and pick it up. Overall, as someone who was a complete novice to cars and didn’t know what to expect they explained everything so clearly and really put me at ease. I can’t honestly thank them enough.

I disagree with the [very few] negative Google reviews about Steer Auto Group in Northampton. No individual person, including any business or company, can please everyone, nor can it be perfect 24/7. Sometimes, things don't run smoothly for some us but in my experience, I can 100% vouch for Steer, they have been nothing but superb from the outset and their technicians are incredibly skilled. I didn't go direct to Steer for my damage repair either, my insurance company was involved, but even with the added complexity of an insurance claim, Steer proved to me that they know how to treat their customers no matter where the instruction / request has come from. During my Mini's repair, I dealt with Chris, Ben, Jade - all of them were amazing (apologies to the team for any names I've missed). I remember my initial contact with Chris at the very start of the process, he always came back to me if I left him a voicemail. The rest of the team also communicated with me very well. As far as the damage repair goes - just take a look at the photos for yourselves. You would not be able to tell that my Mini had ever experienced even a tiny bump to it. The motoring/vehicle industry can be savage and having come from the industry myself, a bit of appreciation and kindness goes a very long way for the people who work with cars - even if things haven't gone well, I'd always recommend that people take a back seat, chill out and remember that they are dealing with a person (who is there to help you when things aren't going well) - they're not just a member of staff. Thank you again for all of your hard work for me, Steer.
