   Eight friends came to enjoy Christmas dinner last Friday but were disappointed to find the food was not up to its usual standard Three of us had the turkey. It was dry and fairly tasteless but worst of all it was so hard,especially at the ends of the roll it was difficult to eat When the waiter came to clear the plates I told him the difficulty we found with the turkey and suggested he mention it to the Chef as he really needed to know he just said I will and there was no apology. Also we decided to have coffee as an extra and there was a ten percent charge to bring it to the table. Last time we went to The Parsonage it was a really enjoyable experience but this has left me wondering if I would go again.

   Our Favourite Place to Celebrate Grandma and I absolutely love coming here to celebrate our birthdays—it’s become our special tradition. The food is always amazing, beautifully cooked, and full of flavour. Every dish we’ve had has been consistently wonderful. What truly makes this place stand out, though, is the service. Your waiter goes above and beyond every time and makes us feel genuinely special and welcome. It’s rare to find somewhere that feels so warm, friendly, and delicious all at once. This pub is hands down our favourite place to eat, and we can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommended!

   Booked in for the second year running to experience the fantastic food again, opting for the 3 course set Christmas menu. A quaint, traditional venue set up to feel cosy, clean and comfortable. Service was warm, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. The food was second to none, great quality ingredients cooked well and presented to a high standard. Definitely keep room for a pudding!

   We had a table booked for 7:30 Wednesday 14th August for 4 people. We were seated in the courtyard and it was beautiful outside under the Jumbrella - the temperature was perfect : 3 of us had the chicken skewers to start and the chicken was so well cooked it easily came off of the skewer and the garlic butter was to die for. The other had the sharing platter for 2 (the fish one) it was a perfect size for a starter and for one person even though the rest of us “helped him out” . Portion sizes perfect. For mains we had 3 steaks and the surf and turf. Really generous portion sizes, quick service, food was DIVINE it was a shame to finish. We all had the same desert the chocolate mousse choux bun and even though nobody really had room for them they went down very easily!!! We will DEFINITELY return. The manager and all of the team were so attentive, friendly and professional it was a delight to be served by them. We loved the fact that it is a dog friendly restaurant and wish that there were more restaurants like this! Keep up the good work!

   Barely edible food. Starter just about ok. Main course very poor. Vegetables looked like something time team had found with Geophys. One guest coughed all through and another sat in the corner shouting and swearing. Truly bad experience.

   We had a meal here with 13 of us, the staff were fantastic and very hospitable. We were given a private room to dine in. The prices were very competitive, the location was great and the food was fantastic.

   Just had a superb evening at the parsonage with a friend. We both ate from the set menu and both opted for the pie. Wow! What a great combination, chicken, leek and apricot with chips to die for. My Lemon Curd Alaska was one of the best I have had, ever. My dining colleague loved her Baileys Creme Brulee. With a couple of pints of Burning Sky ale and a glasses of Malbec to swill it all down. Great value at less than £70 including service. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Wayne and Sean looked after us so well and were wonderfully attentive without being obtrusive.
