I've just had the second of my two-part root canal treatment. Anish and the dental nurses who supported him were all amazing. Very professional and they made the experience much better than it could otherwise have been. Highly recommend them and the practice!
I have been a private patient with Anish for what feels like very long time providing my 6 monthly checks up and hygiene sessions. Anish and the team have always been brilliant and provided a great Service I’ve taken for granted. However, my recent experience has brought me to write this review as like many others I’m extremely nervous patient. I had a choice to make on whether to attempt to save a tooth (which may not have worked) or have it extracted. I decided to have it extracted something I was completely petrified of. Viraj Patel and his dental nurse were amazing, Viraj explained the extraction was not going to be straightforward and why, then exactly what his plan was. He put me completely at ease explaining his progress, providing me with plenty of opportunities for breaks. It couldn’t have gone smoother and as painless as I thought it would. Thank you so much
My crown kept falling off and due to Invisalign so i decided to leave it off as I only had 4 months left of Invisalign. Once my new crown fitted it was painful and my dentist helped me with various treatments. In the end he said I might need a root canal. I went to Ak dental and saw Dr Chris Burn and Michaela. I explained I was worried I would have to pay for another crown to be fitted after the root canal. They were fantastic and reassured me they could drill a small hole in my crown and then remove the 5 roots and make a small matching filling. Which is exactly what they did. No pain, tiny hole you can’t see, even asked what music I would like to be played. I cannot recommend this dentist and their team ( the receptionist so helpful aswell) a very good experience at the dentist.
My son had a pretty bad trauma to his teeth, three completely knocked out, top one cracked in half, bottom tooth broken off at the gum. We were referred to AK dental by our NHS dentist, as my son needed to have the best treatment and fast to save his teeth. My son has had 5 root canals and two crowns fitted at AK dentist. We couldn't be happier, his teeth look amazing and have a good prognosis of surviving. All staff are super friendly and professionalism is second to none. The extent of the dentist knowledge is incredible. Our original appointment was made very quickly after our referral, two days after prognosis, treatment was started. Two sessions at 4 weeks apart and all treatment has been completed.
I am a dental student who had the opportunity to shadow here today, I was greeted with kindness from the moment I stepped in by Dr Anish and Dr Ignacio, as well as nurses Amelia, Kim and Zoe. The reason why I travelled 3 hours today is simple. This is not your ordinary dental practice. Shadowing Dr Ignacio I saw him arrive early to prepare and work through his lunch break. I learnt techniques that Dr Anish and Dr Ignacio use to save teeth. If I was a patient, this is the place where I would want to be. Thank you Dr Ignacio, Dr Anish for the mentoring masterclass! I had a root canal completed over 2 sessions, both sessions the anaesthetic was given completely pain free which I have never experienced at any other dentist. Before the procedure barely begun I was asked if anything was uncomfortable to be offered more anaesthetic. I was worried when the numbness wore off I’d be in pain but everything was fine. I highly recommend AK dental care, nothing is too much trouble. Lovely staff, very attentive. Very professional service.
I recently had root canal work carried out at AK Dental. It was a somewhat complicated procedure and I was referred by my own dentist because this practice has more advanced equipment and expertise. Going to the dentist for root canal work is not an activity of choice but my experience was positive, successful and far less painful and invasive than I was expecting. The practice is absolutely spotless. The procedure was explained to me beforehand and I was given the opportunity to ask questions. The administration of the anaesthetic was painless and I did not feel any pain during the procedure. The entire procedure from the initial consultation to the final treatment was smooth and efficient and I am now pain-free and comfortable. AK Dental Care is a well managed, well equipped and highly professional enterprise.
I was referred to AK Dental Care by my dentist for a difficult root canal which a previous dentist could not perform due to a screw hitting the bottom of the root. There was a very friendly and professional service provided by the staff. My procedure was performed over two 1.5-2 hours appointments where there was little to no pain. After the procedure there was only slight aching in the jaw due to holding it open for 1.75 hours which is to be expected. I was extremely happy with the procedure and would be recommending this dental practice to friends and family when they require specialist treatment.
I recently visited AK Dental Care for a particularly difficult root canal procedure which I elected to have in a single sitting. From start to finish I found the whole procedure comfortable and relatively painless particularly when compared to previous root canal work undertaken elsewhere. The anaesthetic was administered almost painlessly and was topped up during later stages of the procedure. The atmosphere was relaxed, the dentist and his assistant were very friendly and communitive, and the equipment was very modern. I expected significant discomfort after the procedure but was pleasantly surprised by the low level of pain which I experienced. In fact, I only took one dose of Paracetamol which I probably didn’t really need. All in all, a top rate service from a practice I highly recommend.
I was referred to AK Dental Care after falling off my bike as I needed root canals for my front teeth which took the brunt of my accident. The care I have received has been fantastic and I felt at ease and reassured throughout. I did not feel anything when the anaesthetic was administered and no pain during my root canals. A lot of people are petrified of root canals but for me it's a rare hour where I can sit and chill and listen to podcasts knowing I am in Anish and Zoe's capable hands. The booking process/communication is great and I appreciate the reminder emails/texts a week before the appointment :-) Would 100% recommend.
