Had the best experience in go outdoors today. Tina helped me pick the perfect size and model RAB jacket. A higher priced, spend so all her product knowledge and info on how things should fit was greatly appreciated. What a breath of fresh air to come into a shop and be met with fantastic support and knowledge. Thank you Tina!
23/10/25, this afternoon I had brilliant customer service at the Norwich store. The lady that I spoke to was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Taking time to ensure I bought the product that best fitted my needs. I would definitely recommend GO Outdoors, based on today's experience.
Decent stock and prices, but so poorly staffed. One member of staff covering the entire clothing section on a Saturday morning, with other (unoccupied) staff members chained rigidly to their designated sections. Far from good enough for a store where a good deal of advice is needed on clothing options.
Went to store to look at running shoes as advertised on the website. Very little in store and despite me looking quite lost as I attempted to navigate store, not one member of staff approached me to ask if I needed assistance. My aim had been to try a couple of different brands (asics and new balance) to size appropriately before making a purchase but none of the shoes I'd wanted to try were stocked in store. Yes I could order online, but at £135+ a pair I wasn't keen on doing this as I wanted to try a couple of styles and sizes. At one point there were 3 separate customers in the footwear section and not one staff member on hand to assist. It was my first visit and will probably be my last.
I want to buy a bike, simple you might think, before I leave home I check to see whether the model I wanted was in stock, yes! So off I drive (25 miles each way), when I arrive at the store and go the bike department I find one member of staff who really couldn’t care less, let alone help me, he opens his sales pitch with there used to be 5 of us on this department now there is just me, not a great opener but I feel a bit sorry for him as I work in retail myself, so the bike, can I buy one in a box today, I’m happy to build it. The answer was a mix between yes no and maybe, but the website is always wrong and rubbish so we can’t say for certain if we have one or not? At this point I was a bit fed up and thanked the guy and left along with the 1500£ I was more than happy to drop only moments before. I’m sure the company will probably not reply to this or even acknowledge this if this how there store staff are.
Very helpful, very quick service and lots of products to look at. Take your credit card! A great place to go. Friendly staff. Well worth the visit.
Wondered around looking for new clothing staff where all extremely helpful and happy and when arriving at the till Sophie made me award of all the fantastic go outdoor discounts with membership card as well as the fact I work for the rspb and wild life Trust over the moon with the customer service 11/10
I went to Go Outdoors Norwich to buy walking shoes.I was looked after by Lisa and what superb customer service she gave. I was unsure what shoes I wanted. That was no problem for Lisa and I had plenty to choose from.I chose walking shoes made by Merrell and if they give as good service as Lisa I will be well chuffed!
Always been a fan of Go Outdoors - wide variety of outdoor clothes/equipment and for a competitive price. They take Blue Light discount which always encourages me to shop there! Yesterday I was helped by a very polite and friendly gentleman who made the shopping experience a pleasant one - thank you :)
Newly opened store, loads of options, lots of discounts. one stop shop for all your needs of going outdoors for adventure. Very impressed. Wish there was someone at the counter all the time for a quicker payments.
