Would definitely recommend Quebec Cottage. It’s in a pretty, quiet village. Great walks on the doorstep including the Seven Sisters and South Downs Way.

Two recent stays in Pig Barn and Monks Granary Barn - both excellent cottages and the location is superb for walking (both long and short) and sampling local delights. Wonderfully quiet countryside location. Very welcoming, amenable owners. Highly recommended.

My wife, dog and I have been coming to Dovecote Garden to stay for a few nights at a time for 3-4 years now and don't ever consider looking elsewhere as it is just perfect. Absolutely charming rural accommodation, but with all mod cons and the friendliest of welcomes - including a delicious homemade lemon drizzle cake and their own hen's fresh eggs to greet us. A stunning country location without being very far from pubs, shops and restaurants. Comfy bed, always thoroughly clean throughout (difficult to achieve in any rural setting) and the cosy underfloor heating throughout makes us wish we had it at home! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! *****

We have been coming to these holiday cottages for many years and it is like a second home. West Dean is a delightful village, tucked away in a secluded valley with good access by foot to Seven Sisters and Firston Forest. We usually stay in the Pig Barn which is clean, comfortable and attractively furnished. We are always made very welcome by our host. We find it very good value for money.

What a great place. My wife & I loved it. The host, Julian, was very nice. He did a tour of his property explaining the geography of this beautiful old farm built by Alexander the Great. Rooms were clean & comfy even if we did sleep in the pig barn. I would recommend this location to anyone. Lovely walks, pubs close, walk to the coast & along the seven sisters. You need to make an outing to the Tiger in east Dean, The Sussex Ox in Selmeston & the George in Alfriston. See the white horse on the hillside & the long man of Wilmington a little further down the road. It was a home away from home, Thanks Julian.
