Very disappointed with our experience today. Around 9 p.m., my husband bought a pack of nectarines from this Co-op. When we opened it at home, one was covered in white mold and completely rotten, while the others were partly rotten. From the top they looked fine, but the bottom layer was squashed and clearly spoiled. My husband, tired after work, didn’t notice in the shop and only saw the top of the pack. When we brought it back, instead of acknowledging the problem, we were told the fruit was “just squashed.” Really? Nectarines don’t suddenly smell like rotten fruit because of “squashing.” My mother had already thrown two away the moment she opened the pack because they were so bad. This isn’t about a couple of pounds — it’s about food hygiene and basic respect for customers. I didn’t appreciate being made to feel as if we somehow squashed the fruits and then came back for a refund as if fancy spoiling evening for £2??? We didn’t even ask for money back; we wanted to alert the shop so nobody else ends up buying rotten fruit. An apology would have been the minimum. Instead, we were lectured about receipts and unopened packs. Selling fruit in this state is unacceptable and could even be dangerous, especially for elderly or vulnerable customers. Co-op, please fix this.

As others write, this place sucks. The staff act as if they are doing you a favour by serving you, the reduced (clearance) products are often barely edible and I have tried 3 different types of bread here and each one tastes dry as sandpaper. It is 2 stars simply for the 'convenience' factor XD

Only went in to treat myself to some flowers. Every single bunch was dead! No water in the buckets. Come on ! What a waste. Some of the bouquets were £8.
