Absolutley the best experience of any builders merchant. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly yet provide professional service, prompt response to enquiries and nothing is too much trouble. Other large companies take note this is how it should be. Highly recommended

One of your drivers just undertook me and 2 other cars driving incredibly dangerously on the A34. I was in the right hand lane, and he tried to came from behind me into the left lane, undertook me, and tried to slam into a spot in front of me that was way too small, causing the person infront of them to accelerate and myself to break hard. He did this two more times with the cars in front. You guys must be really busy with deliveries to justify this kind of driving.
I priced up banister posts rails and spindles with wickes and b an d q.. over £300 .. the staff at the Newcastle branch .. advised me and did me a great deal . Extremely helpful and pleasant . Would recommend and will be using for future projects . If you want value for money .. use Howarths .. thank you guys

I went for a piece of board but had to buy a full sheet £27 but only needed half of it so now ive got a piece of board 2.4mtr x 550 spare sitting at home as they didnt do half sheets but service was great and the man who cut it tom was very pleasent
I went to 3 places looking for a piece of ply cut to size. It didn't seem a particularly big or difficult job, 2 cuts and away. 1st place said they couldn't tell me at what time of the day it would be ready, 2nd place said that if i went to the Congleton branch that they would do it but it could be hours. I was about to give up but went to Howarth's. What a difference. Had a chat with a guy on the yard, 10 minutes later I was on my way having wasted over an hour at other places and driving around. An absolute pleasure to deal with. No time will be wasted next time. I know exactly where to go. Thank you all so much.
