A really warm and welcoming pub, in a beautiful country setting. Enjoyed a couple of hours over lunch, food was delicious... Some of the best chips we've ever had. On the higher end of the spectrum re. quality and price, but well worth it for such a lovely meal and ambience.

Nice room, clean and comfy..good shower and light and clean bathroom..Food good but breakfast unusual in that you could have anything. as long as what you wanted was a component of a full English. No choice otherwise.. Staff very efficient and pleasant.. I would return but breakfast is a query..

Wonderful pub in a beautiful setting serving fantastic food. It’s run by people who really care and want you to have a lovely time. It’s also dog-friendly, with a cozy bar and a delightful B&B. An all-round classy place and highly recommended.

I stayed here last night. The location is spot on and overall the stay was pleasant, be was comfortable and room clean if a little tired looking but on the whole acceptable. The only real issue I encountered was the shower drain needed cleaning out as water was very slow to drain meaning I couldn’t really use the showers otherwise it would have overflowed so I used the sink to wash in. I did pop down to inform the bar lady who was going to inform the manager, however he was unaware of the issue when he Checked me out. To his credit he did offer to give me access to another room to take a shower.

The service and staff within were really lovely and attentive. Roast was good, portion size was good. There were 5 of us, 2 had beef, good texture even though it was not medium rare, 3 had pork, only critique was to have crackling on the pork. Ambience was really pleasant, different family and friend groups. Chocolate fondant finished off the meal well We realised we had no cash for tips, after the bill was paid as no service charge was added on, and we are sorry for this as the 2 servers were really lovely!

Best Pub fish & chips I've ever had, and that' saying something. Service great too. Excellent pub, Highly recommended. Ensure you book for a weekend visit. We hadn't, not expecting it to be so busy, but they managed to squeeze us in. Definitely returning soon.

Lovely old pub in Wheatacre... Large eating area, well set out and cosy authentic decor. Very pleasant serving staff, efficient and professional. Good menu choice, main meals as well as light bites, very nicely presented and ample portion size. A cut above the 'usual' pub grub! Nice outside seating area in the better weather . Car Park on the small side. Highly recommend a visit.

Lovely setting, decorated well and friendly, helpful staff. Small but nice menu. Wine reasonably price and good. My meal was lovely but partners pork belly wasn't great ... crackling tiny and unchewable and pork wasn't great. Would try again though!!
