Few hundred yards from Travelodge...ideal..! Great atmosphere with all age ranges there from young kids with their parents to older customers catching up over a game of cards. Very clean and tidy with a great selection of beers, ciders, lagers and possibly every spirit you could fit in. Very small serving bar but it worked perfectly well. Great staff and very helpful. Recommendations in whiskey from the owner that, obviously, I had to sample. Everywhere was spotless, including the toilets. Smoking areas out back and front of building with a great looking beer garden at the rear too. A great atmosphere all round. If you're in the area - visit this place.

Stayed at The Swan end of May , room was clean & tidy. Had everything you wanted to hand. Staff lovely & very helpful. Had a fantastic breakfast & they even catered for my small appetite by letting me have child's menu. (So many places won't do this) Excellent value for money. I would highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Lovely pub. People very friendly. The manager I think was called Kirsty. We wanted to sit outside but no tables were free. Manager asked for someone to bring a table out. Had a very pleasant time.

Absolutely loved my stay at this fabulous hotel. It has everything one could want to be comfortable. The room was immaculately clean as was the en suite. The shower was easy to use and hot and the owners had thought of everything. There was shower gel , shampoo and soap plus a sewing kit for emergencies and two plastic beakers in the en suite. The bedroom had a hairdryer in the drawer, television and a kettle with a plentiful supply of milk, tea, coffee and sugar plus some small, delicious biscuits. The beds were warm and comfortable with spotless bed linen and ample wardrobe space for a short stay for two. We were in a delightful annex with just two double rooms so, as we were all family, it was great. In the morning we chose breakfast from a varied menu which was home- cooked and delicious. I had tea, also, and was most impressed that there was a small container provided for each table for the tea bag and the wrappings from the milk, sugar, etc. The owners were so welcoming and did all they could to make us comfortable and their Christmas decorations both inside and outside were lovely. All this for an extremely competitive price. Many thanks to all. I can't wait to come again. Photos in the private car park.

Probably not their fault because we were there on the hottest day ever, but three room was unbearably hot.even the fan provided could do nothing to help. The welcome was warm but three room must have been in the high 40s. Fortunately the en-suite allowed me to cool down a few times overnight. However it was inexpensive and convenient.
